You guys looks like were transferred to CSC but got Approval letter from Local Office! Which office address was in the NOA2 sent out after the transfer. Thanks for your response.
we got both ours from Vermont. first saying our application had been received and then again when it said it was transferred to CSC.

Do you have a Dutch farmers market near you at all? That is the only place I can find cheese curds around here!
hmmm I dont believe so but I am now on a quest to see if we do!

Okay, cestlaviecherie...I hope you get good news today! Our approval letter FINALLY came (mailed from St. Albans, VT...go figure!). Approval date is 10/4, posted 10/7. Interestingly enough, there's a sticky thing covering the name of the director and the letter is signed by an "Acting Director." I wonder if this has anything to do with the delay?
At any rate...updating the list for myself. Hopefully more will come by the end of the day! *fingers crossed!*
Mine also had a label with the acting center directors signature on it. Hmm...

I miss Old Dutch Ketchup chips.. ah caramel snack cakes ..
then a whole host of chocolate bars.. wunderbar, caramilk, coffee crisp.
hp sauce (dad sends me down a bottle at christmas each year!), st hubert sauce and bbq seasoning. hmmm what else? mom has me bring her back Byrds custard? pop tastes funny here, so I stick with canada dry gingerale. I wish I could find cheese curds to make my own poutine.
as for canadian other products, I wish I could find penaten baby cream for when we have kiddos. We always used it on my nieces. the diaper cream here smells rank.

I forgot to mention ours was from the local office in Fort Smith, AR

We got our approval in the mail! The decision date is 10/02/2013, and we received it today (10/07/2013). Now just waiting on my green card
woo-hoo!

I figure we lost 2 months compared to folks to filed directly with CSC simply because our cases just sat at VSC and gathered dust until they were transferred.
booooooo. Im hoping not

hmm Im getting impatient lol. No updates since the transfer to CSC.. Im wondering if the people who got transferred are at the bottom of the pile.. just anxious. but Im thinking (hopefully) that if they were going to send us an RFE, they'd have sent it by now.. I hope
trying to keep positive and patient.

I should have mentioned when I said we were transferred, the letter was dated 08/19. I know that doesn't make a huge difference, but thought Id mention it.

whew! thanks for easing my mind

We came home today to a notice from USCIS saying our RoC was transferred to CSC. It says they have jurisdiction over the case. Im so confused. I even went to the uscis website to make sure we didnt accidentally send it to the wrong service center, and it still says Arkansas is handled by VSC.

Hey guys, I havent been a great VJ member.. I actually really havent been around much since my move to the US almost 2 years ago...
Hubby and I are getting ready to file our RoC, and we had some questions about the supporting documents mostly. we are in the process of printing off our bank statements and want to have them sorted/separated by month. Is it ok to staple each month separately to group them? I wasnt sure if staples are ok? Also here is a list of what we are including, if anyone could tell me if we should include anything else in our packet. Thanks!

when I had my interview, my interviewer told me to make sure I gave her a good review on VJ
*I should mention I never brought up the fact that I had ever been to this site*

Hello fellow Canadians! I have a question about filing taxes. I am not employed currently, but I figure even if I was, the answer would be the same since I know you still have to file taxes in Canada when you live there whether you were employed or not. So my question is this: Now that I live in the US as a permanent resident (and have been here since July 12th of this year), do I still file taxes in Canada? My Husband is an accountant, and he says for the US, if you have lived 11 out of 12 months out of the country, you are exempt from filing US taxes, but anything less you would be required to file taxes on your income even from a foreign source. Of course, that us the US policy, and I am unsure of the Canadian policy. Obviously, if the Canadian policy is the same, then my answer would be this year, yes. But in the future, no since I would be residing in the us 12/12 months of the year from here on out.
Any information would be greatly appreciated!
thanks!

Divorce Question
in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
Posted
First off, if this is the wrong place, I'm sorry!
I am a green card holder. I came to the US on a CR-1 visa and my husband and I have been married almost 8 years. We are divorcing and agree on most of the division of assets, but he is refusing support. I go to school 30 hours a week and working part time. Some months I'm lucky to bring home $400 because I'm a manicurist and my work is commission based. Clearly I cannot support myself. I know he is legally obligated to support me at 125% of the poverty line until I've worked 40 quarters or become a citizen. My question is, how can I go about enforcing this? One divorce lawyer I talked to said it has nothing to do with the divorce and that I would have to address that separately? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
