Finally just received our biometrics appointment after putting in a call to USCIS. Pls add biometrics appointment for 4/8/2013.

I did block out mine but left out the last 4 digits of the account number. As for the figures, I blocked out the balances but left the amount for each transaction but towards the end, I didn't care anymore and just left it all out.

Was that the only reason for the RFE? Does the RFE say what they want or is it usually a general request for evidence? Please don't be black cloud.

The house was in my names years before we got married and we haven't made any paperwork changes so it stayed that way. When we refinance it will be in both our names. If only we had refinanced, it would be perfect to show both our names. I wouldn't want my sweety given an RFE for such a stupid mistake.

Yes, we have pictures spanning our marriage and several vacation trips. @bigdog, I wasn't sure if we needed the affidavits but I could get them from some members of our church group.

Yes we got the green card, I must have missed it in the list. We printed the first 4-5 months of the statements and the 4-5 most current statements to show that we currently still have the accounts. I think I'll go back and print the statements in between.

Is it ok to mark out the account balances in the statements? I left the prices of each transaction but mark out the account balances.

After weeks, we are finally ready to drop the package off in the mail. Is this enough or strong enough evidence?

- tax transcript for 2011 (still trying to get 2012 even though we just filed)

- copies of combined checking account

- copy of loan approval for car with both names

- copy of car insurance with both names

- copy of combined health insurance

- copies of 401k plans with each other as beneficiaries

- copies of our drivers license showing same address (wife changed her last name)

- copies of mobile phone bills with both names

- copies of costco, macys, and gym memberships

- copies of letters addressed to both of us

- copies of trip itineraries / hotel reservations for various trips

- copies of our passports showing international stamps.

so nervous but by this time tomorrow, it'll be in the mail.

Yes tradition ceremony sounds better, I'm really skeptical about adding "wedding" to photos that don't come from our original wedding.

I've searched through this forum and couldn't seem to find an answer to my question. Recently my husband and I went back to do our traditional wedding and now I'm collecting research for the ROC should we include the evidence from it? Logical thinking me would think it would be great evidence since we did the traditional ceremonies too but I start thinking maybe they would ask, why we are doing the traditional wedding. This process is crazy, I'm just trying to get input so I don't drive myself crazy.

My fiance went on her first interview in Lagos on the 20th.. She was told to bring more proof and reschedule via email.. The email was sent on the 20th with no response to date.. How long does it usually take to get a second interview date via email or is there a faster way to get a second date???

Did you get the automatic response from the embassy? At least if you got that, you know it is in the "queue". I would say email again till you get a response. Good luck!

So some people do not like to give their real names when opening an annonymous Email account, so they use nick names or a slightly different spelling of their names. My question is, if the spelling of the name on the email (that is next to the "From" and "To" above the email massege) is slightly different from the spelling of the actual name...will this be an issue? Is the spelling of the name on the Email considered a "different name" and is it really an "another name" of an "alias"? Do you write that name on the application under "other names/alias"? I mean is this even really considered an official another name or alias?

Anyone here had the same issue? Was it a problem?

Are you referring to the email address, i.e. msLovable@yahoo.com or Ms Lovable - msLovable@yahoo.com? I don't think they look at the addresses that seriously. My husband email had nothing to do with his name and it couldn't be used to identify him. I think it's the content of the email that matters and that the emails are consistently from the same email addresses.

This is for a friend of mine, who is on the K-1 journey as well.

Their petition has been approved and now they are going on to the interview phase. While I was speaking with my friend, she mentioned they already paid for the visa (N56K ~$350) and were able to choose their own interview date online. Now my husband (then fiance) got his visa in November,2010 so I started to wonder, have the policies changed that much or did someone just take advantage of my friend?

I know things policies change often so can anyone please shed some light on this? Much appreciated!!!

Anyone found a good deal for flights for December? I have searched every known site and I can't find anything under $1700 that won't have 3 transfers and 11 hour layovers. Normally by now, I can find something around $1500 but now I don't see anything.
