What's the point of this F2A if it takes 4-5 years? By that time everyone are pretty much eligible to become USC!
Unless you don't plan to become USC, what's the point of F2A for spouse????????
i think the reason for USCIS/NVC to put the PD of f2a into normal pace is to give way to those who are being petitoned by USC..USC are always the priority..
have you ever thought..that if they made the f2a current it doen't make any difference to those k and cr1 filers?
i've seen a lot of people here waited 3 to 5 years to be reunited with their family (that includes me)..
my advice is don't expect too much...the lesser you expect the lesser you'll get hurt..
just giving my unsolicited advice

hmmm,i wonder when it'll move forward again...anyways,i want to ask if anyone has an idea of how long will an LPR be a USC if he applies next month and what will happen our case since we are just waitning for our an interview?our case got completed sept.28,2012 under f2a.our pd's 30jan08.a reply would be appreciated.thanks
that really depends on the state he is going to take the naturalization...i think it's between 4 months to 1 year...and then after that you'll send the naturalization certificate along with the case number to USCIS or NVC to update the petition...

hey guys i know you are all being hopeful and you wanted to be with your families very badly...but would it help if each of you will become realistic so that we will avoid calling names?
eversince F2A categories took 3 to 5 years to complete..trust me..a lot of us waited that long..check other threads if you like...

-
Hi mitch
I just saw your timeline. March 2005 to 2011.
yeah that's the usual timeline for an F2a..especially for those who filed before 2007...that's why i'm not surprised that the VB retrogressed that much...

Okay here's the deal..i booked a ticket thru a travel agency...and the thing is there's only 2hrs and 26 min gap between my flight from Honolulu(w/c is my POE) and to Kona (where i am hoing to live).
Is that enough? I tried to talk to my agent and she told me that the itinerary was given by hawaiian airlines and there's nothing she can do about it...
Hope somebody who had Honolulu as POE can enlighten me..Thanks!

hahahaha okay... how long is the average wait at the embassy anyways? i'm hoping it'll be over just after lunch time? if you have a 7am appointment...
it really depends on how lucky you are...me?my appointment is 830..i was pre-screened at 9am..and was interviewed 2 pm..how's that?hehehe...but it's ok atleast i passed..
do you have a son?my observation is they interview those who have children..not sure a bout it though...
Best of Luck!

i talked to someone there who tried to get the soonest available schedule via phone after he got the negative result..but st.lukes told him that it's on a first-come-first-serve basis..meaning the first person who will take the results PERSONALLY will definitely get the available interview dates...
but try to call them just to make sure....

The water is definitely pricey...

will it be fine to use black ink instead or colored ink?
colored will be much better but i don't see any problem if you print it in B&W..as long as it's readable then it will be perfectly okay
-
i think it would be better if you print screen..it would be more realistic..because all the details will be there.unlike when you copy-paste it.the pre-screener/CO will have a notion that you edited it..

Hi Guys,
One thing that I find so cute is the way she replies to some of my questions. My favorite is this one:
Sometimes I say something like:
Me asking Q:"You don't have money to go to movie" ?
Then she says "yes"
--> beware... of that "yes" JR. It is not what you think.
Yes, means ..she does not have money!
Do you have anything you can share??
Sorry if this off topic. I just wanted to share it with you guys.
i don't see anything wrong with..i think yes and no are acceptable...

when did your fiance started to take the sputum test?
this is based on the forums that i read and i also talked to an actual person who took the culture test..and this is what he said...
he came back to st. lukes for 3 days for a sputum sample..and then he was negative..but then he had to wait for two more months just to make sure..and that's the time that he was finally given the clearance and the immunization..and of course the interview sched
did your fiance's 2-month wait is over?

what happened?
i haven't seen a case that changes from f2b to f2a..i don't think that it's possible because those are two whole different category...
