  1. Your wife is allowed to enter while the I-130 is working it's way through the masses. However, there is no guarantee that she will be admitted at the POE. Having an active I-130 can work in her favor because it shows CBP personnel that you two want to go about the immigration process the right way.

Wow. Thank you! My wife hasn't been here in nearly 20 months, because we thought that she could not enter until the I-130 was approved.

Our nephew is going to be baptized next month, and I would love for my wife to be there. She can't wait to finally see him in person for the first time.

  2. Good luck!

I spent a semester studying in Germany back in '06, and I had no idea that I was going to meet the love of my life. Anna was also an exchange student, from Hungary. After knowing each other for a few months, we knew that we were destined to spend our lives together. I can't imagine my life without her.

The process can be frustrating at times, but you will get through it.

By the way, you aren't a Cowboys fan, are you? :bonk::lol:

  3. dont know the specifics of your case but I hope something start happening really sooon... cuz it's gone crazy..

Thank you! I hope the same for you!

    Darnell,

Sorry about posting in the wrong forum...still pretty new to this.

  4. I'm a part-timer in the military, and I have about 9 years until I can retire. This is a part of the reason that we have decided that we will live in the US. Once I hit 20 years, we will consider moving to Hungary. Of course, the future will play a role in that decision. We will evaluate our situation at that time, and decide where we want to be. I have spent enough time in Hungary to know that it is a wonderful country, and I can definitely see myself living there. The bottom line is that as long as I am with my wife, I will be happy no matter where we live.

  5. My wife and I haven't been on here much, but I just want to say that I have a lot of respect for everyone here that has chosen to follow the law and do this the "right way."

My wife and I have been married for over 14 months, and we are still apart. It is very hard for us to be so far away from each other, but our love for each other is so strong that we know we can endure this hardship.

Anyway, just wanted to "introduce" ourselves to everyone. We hope that all of you are able to get through this process as quickly as possible!

  6. Congrats!

My wife and I received a Request for Evidence last week. According to the USCIS, our Marriage Certificate was not "clear and legible" enough. The copy that we sent was completely legible, so we're not sure what the problem is. I sent a few more copies to our attorney on Thursday, and they were mailed to the California Service Center today. I hope they are satisfied...

  7. Tokyo Lovers,

I just looked at your timeline (USCIS Journey), and I noticed that you went from NOA1 to NOA2 without mentioning the I-129F. Is the I-129F no longer needed, or was it included with the I-130? I am asking because my wife and I received our NOA1 on May 6th, and we were told to await further notice/instructions. We have an immigration attorney, but dealing with the people in his office has been a little difficult.

    Thanks!
