Visa issued December 28 2011. Just found out today due to an inquiry by my senator's office. almost one year since our interview!

Adel has tried calling them but no one ever answers. He always gets a message. Have you gotten through to them before on the phone? What number did you call?

No nothing. It's been 7 weeks now since he dropped off his passport

so you called the visa department of the dept of state? not NVC, is what I'm asking, they don't seem to anything. I called the visa dept and she couldn't find that we'd had an interview yet so I wondered if I had the right place. Thanks!

hey back before Hamza arrived and you were waiting for his visa to be printed, i seem to remember that DOS told you it was printed and the embassy said no not yet. Who did you call to get that info from the DOS?

Adel got his passport and judicial paper turned in two weeks ago today. Haven't heard anything yet. Hoping they call by the end of the month

Embassy called Adel this morning. Asked him to get an updated judicial certificate and bring it, his passport and an envelope to the embassy at his convenience. They didn't specifically state he was approved so I'm trying to keep my cool and reserve judgment.

one year ago today we received the NOA1. Still no definite answer from embassy...

No. They claimed they had been trying to call and wanted a "correct" number for adel's home. Gave them the same number as on the petition. They called 2 days later, the 21st of june, and asked for his father who was at work. They have never called back. Sent them his work numbers in the hopes they would call him there but nothing. so basically it's the same. no news at all

It's been 2.5 months since the interview and I don't know if that means the embassy is just lazy or what!! They did finally respond to senator, saying we are pending fraud review and they will contact adel when completed. afraid ...

... when the review was completed. I don't know if they mean they are doing the review or if they mean the review that is supposed to happen but rarely does after the petition is returned. Just in limbo, waiting...waiting...waiting

Hi, sorry I haven't responded sooner. The only thing I know for sure is that the embassy has still not returned the petition to the NVC. I have no idea what this means, afraid to hope that it's something positive. The senators office did finally receive a 2 line response from the embassy saying that the case is pending a relationship fraud review and that they would contact adel with...

No nothing. All I know is that they have not yet returned the file. According to all the attorney's I contacted, there isn't much hope. They've ignored every email I've sent them and the senator has not had much luck either. I feel hopeless Congratulations on your wedding

Thanks I'll tell him. Ugh Algeria makes me crazy!! The doctor charges more than the embassy says she can, and then these poor guys have to go running around everywhere getting their shots! ridiculous !!!

hiya Mandy! sorry to bug ya but did Ghani have any trouble with his vaccinations? The doctor Adel saw said he needs two more but won't give them to him. Told him he had to find them and then come back to her. He's having trouble finding anyone who has them. Did Ghani have the same issue?
