  1. Young Love,

I have not received any emails yet :( Its on initial review dot on the online case. It sucks that its taking so long. I just hope everything is fine. Young Love what state are you in? I was hoping i would get the GC quickly as am located in Missouri and one of the major immigration offices are in Missouri! Apparently not...

    Thanks for the info.

Ugh, I hate the anticipation that comes with this process. I wish you the best!

I live in Florida by the way.

  2. Could someone please tell me about how long it takes to get the green card after AOS interview? I had my interview on September 21st and was approved but have not received neither the welcome letter or grren card. I know its been only like 13 days but i thought it took around 2 weeks??? Thanks!

Mine took 10 days (my interview was on the 22nd). Have you received any emails? What dot is the online case on?

  3. I wonder how Young Love's interview went? I just remembered it was re-scheduled 2 days ago. I hope it went well, Young Love!

Sorry for the late review, my internet was being stupid.

    AOS INTERVIEW (Rescheduled) | 9/22/10 | 1:00pm | Orlando, FL

We arrived at 12:25 and the office was sooooo empty! There was literally one other person there when we arrived. We later found out that they weren't having any Infopass appointments that day, only some rescheduled AOS appointments. By the time we got called at 1:30, there were about 4 other couples there.

Our IO was a friendly young lady and she didn't make us feel nervous at all. She made us raise our right hands and swear in after being seated. She first asked to see our identification, photocopied them, verified a lot of the information in our file like our date of births, the visa I arrived on, past schools, and his employment status. She also verified that the address on file was the one we wanted as our primary.

At this point I asked her if I could change my maiden name to his last name and she said yes of course, and scratched out my last name and wrote his on my file. I was really happy because I DID NOT want to wait 2 years or pay to have it changed!

Our IO then proceeded to ask us:

When we met, describe the scenario

    Where was our wedding held

What the business we started is about

    The story behind our rings

We also discussed his hospital stay and why he couldn't make it last time. Towards the end (about 10 minutes later) she began to explain the details of a conditional green card (YAY) then asked to see any other evidence we have establishing our marriage. We handed her pictures and the records.

I was never asked all the criminal yes/no questions, and she never took my I-94's or anything.

We received an e-mail at 6:00pm stating that Card Production was ordered! I am so happy I could screaaam!

  4. Congrats to SOULEY & jwife!!

OMG you guys, I'm soooo happy!

I checked the mail today (just for the hell of it) and lo and behold, there was a letter from the USDHS, and inside was my Reschedule Notice! :o Our interview is now scheduled for September 22 @1pm... I couldn't believe that they could fit us in so soon! I was worried that we wouldn't get the letter until October... so this was a pleasant surprise. Sigh, I feel like I can breathe now.

He was discharged today and is doing much better! Thank God :)

  5. Oh wow, Young Love, I am so sorry to hear that. I hope your husband is feeling better soon. It's just a delay, you will get approved at interview! good.gif

It will be okay Young Love!! I hope your husband feels better soon! Like Valerie says, it is just a delay, you will be approved for sure!

Thank you both! We really appreciate it :)

    & Congrats, Souley!

  6. Sorry to hear that. As with everything related to this process you had your documented proof why he wasn't there.

    Hope he gets better soon.

Bump in the road is all.

Yes, I agree. He's alive and I'm working so another month won't kill us.

so sorry to hear about your husband :(

i hope he recovers soon and you guys get a huge APPROVED at your newly scheduled interview!

Thank you hon :) I hope so too! This will allow us to gather more evidence anyhow :)

I am so sorry to hear about your reschedule. The important thing is your husband is o.k. I hope it was nothing serious.

    Good Luck!

Very true. That's all that matters.

So sorry to hear this Young Love! I hope your husband is going to be alright. (F)

Thanks, he's definitely improving :) Thanks!

  7. I wish I had good news for you guys, but...

I arrived at about 8:35, went through security and was seated for about 40 minutes before being called by the IO.

    Notice I said "I."

I had to take my husband to the hospital last night so he was unable to make it so I could not be approved today.

Our IO was very sweet, and she took the hospital record I brought and put in a reschedule request. She said it could take 2-3 weeks to receive the letter. She genuinely cared which was a nice surprise.

He is doing okay now, and atleast we weren't denied. I'll let you all know when the letter comes!

  9. Thank God Today.I was approved

    Interview centre....Irving TX

My appointment was 12.15pm and we got there 11.55am.

    ...

God really did the wonderful interview for us.What God has joined together let no man put asunder, even government or immigration can’t.I(black) came into US as F1 student for the first time in January 2010.I met my wife(white) online first week in March, and got married in May 21st 2010,just about 73days of dating, with just 10 people present ,no reception .My wife is older than me with 12yrs gap.We live together as one.All these shown red flags ,but God is great and we married for love and saw all through without any hitch.

Such a beautiful review and experience; thanks for sharing! Wishing you best in your future :)

  10. GOOD LUCK to those who have interviews tomorrow! Fingers (and toes) crossed!

    Thank you!

Aaah I CANNOT believe that our interview is already almost here! It still feels like we have another week left.

I foresee a sleepless night of preparing and triple checking everything! We will definitely post a review a.s.a.p.!

Good luck to everyone tha has an interview this week!
