  1. Good Morning Friends,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

rajalucy, smile99 and other friends, where are you guys in the journey? We haven't been updated with your current status. It would help Khanl and many of us to estimate the current NVC processing time. Good Luck to you all.

My approved case has not been sent to NVC yet. It's been 2 months today. My congressman is also not doing anything. What should I do here guys?

hello malvika how r u. sorry i been bussy. just got PCC (both)

    and mailed to nvc.

    what about ur case?

  2. rajalucy,

I need your help my fren,

Yesterday I called USCIS and managed to speak with a supervisor. He was very nice and helpful. I explained him everything like, my I-130 has been approved a month ago and it has not been sent to NVC yet. He said since you are green card holder it takes 3-4 yrs. for visa to become available then I told him that's true but my priority date is already current since June 2010. Then he said lets go ahead and make a request. He took my all the details and filled up the form, I asked him is it an expedite request that you are doing rite now, he said YES. I was so happy that he did an expedite request for me. Now I have some queries pleaes share your experience with me.

    1. How long did it take for your case to reach NVC after expedite request ?

    2. Did you see any 'touches' before your case reached to NVC?

    Thanks in advance.

malvika when i did expedite request they told me

first they will check if i am eligable for request (i was since my case PR was current)request made on 22nd

email _received on 27th The petition was processed and approved by Los Angeles District Office. The petition will be forwarded to National Visa Center; please allow 30 days for the transfer to occur.

it only took 5 days to get responce

then on 29th i recived another email saying that your case has been forwarded to nvc on 27th then i call nvc they give me my case number (now how the hell they assign my case # on 29th when it was sent to nvc on 27th. they assign my case number on very first day after receiving my case)

so u can see it only took 7 days

i am prety sure you will get your case # very soon. good luck malvika

  3. rajalucy,

I understand yours took 3-4 months to get to the NVC since your case was transferred to LOS field office instead of NVC and you had to make expedite service request. I saw someone who was approved 1 week later than myself, got her/his case # from NVC within a week. I think it is still 1-2 weeks after approval if case is current and USCIS doesn't make any booboo.

yes because they are citizen not LPR like us, if ur case went back to CIS that mean they will forward your case to NVC in 2 weeks. its the same pattern like my case.

mine went back to cis and then nvc

  4. malvika once you get your case number just tell your benificiary to download and fill the ds3032 sign scan and email to you or the nvc and you pay the $88 fees start now to have your tax job letter and pay stubs collection. once you paid your fees and submit ds3032 by email. (they will accept ds3032 by email PDF format)

while you are doing this, your beneficiary should apply for police clearence certificate at local police office and also at the passport office (2 PPC)

now he has saved at least 2-3 weeks of time. while his ppc is ready your visa fee will be paid by then and just send ds230 ppc and documents to nvc without delay. because ppc take time 2-4 weeks.

malvika i am sending my ds230 to nvc in few days waiting for PPC. i should have told my wife to get ppc while back but i didnt know about it. so you make sure once $88 paid let them get ppc.

  5. oh ya? did u do that too? what email address you used?

    California Service Center: csc-ncsc-followup@dhs.gov

    Vermont Service Center: vsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

    Nebraska Service Center: ncscfollowup.nsc@dhs.gov

    Texas Service Center: tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

If you do not receive a response within 21 days of contacting the Service Center, you may contact the USCIS Headquarters Office of Service Center Operations by email at SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov.

  6. Approval letter says "Please allow at least 90 days before calling the NVC if your beneficiary has not received correspondecse from the NVC. "

i hope you get ur case # soon

but i think itis taking 3 to 4 months for now

but u can scan ur aproval and email it to

    nvcresearch@state.gov

    case number --------------

    my name -----------

petitioner name ---------------- date of birth --/--/----

beneficiay name ---------------- date of birth --/--/----

when it was approved and tell them that you want to know about ur case

dont forget to attach ur approval notice

  7. Thanks for the help rajalucy.

"tell them it is a mistake or some how your case is not showing at nvc after 4 month or what ever the date your apprved notice says"

My I-130 was recently approved July 20, 2010 (to be precise). It has not been 4 months. Do you still think that it makes sense to call USCIS and request expedite??? Please suggest !

    Thanks,

no you can not make expedite request. if your approval says that you have to wait 30 or 90 days then uscis will not helps you. chek your approval letter if it says 90 days wait or 30 day wait

  8. Yes, my PD (Jan 2007) was current in June 2010 visa bulletin. But I am not sure they will do my expedite request based on my PD. Do you think so rajalucy? Should I call USCIS and ask them to do expedite request? based on what???

I had spoken with NVC lady little ago and she asked me to send the copy of approval notice for research and that's what I did.

    Thanks !

not only you should but must.

what are you waiting for call usics and talk to the 2nd level person tell them about your situation and ask them to make an expedite request.

make sure to tell them that your case was approved on date -/-/- and your have received the i797 saying that your case has been sent to nvc (if you have i797)

tell them it is a mistake or some how your case is not showing at nvc after 4 month or what ever the date your apprved notice says.

remember i called congressman and senator guess what? i am waiting for their reply!!!!

i am 100% sure it will work and expedite request has 5 day period.

  9. oh.. great ! How long did it take to get the case no. after NVC receive your docs? I am still waiting for NVC to receive my docs. I have waited 42 months for my I-130 to approve and now NVC's drama....uffffff:(

if your pd is current then why dont you ask for expedite request?

after my expedite request uscis emailed me saying your case has forwarded to nvc on 27july

and 29july they asign my case number.

now i am waiting for the documents

  10. The digits tell us exactly when NVC created the case. For example a case with the number MNL2001747003 would be a case assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Manila. 2001 is the year in which NVC received the case from the USCIS (formerly INS). The Julian date is 747 plus 500, so this case was created on September 4, 2001, the 247th day of the year. The 003 shows that it was the third case created for Manila on that day

you minus 500 that will give you the number and last 3 digit does not show how many cases they have asigned in a day but in the month of september for that embassy.

  11. THanks rajalucy,

We have no option than to wait and keep our faith alive. That's what I did. Remember my I-130 was approved after 43 months of filing date. yeah that's true.

I think NVC will receive your case soon. Pretty sooner than 30 days. I am also waiting for my case to get to the NVC. I don't know how long it's gonna take.

    Good Luck.

i hope your and mine makes together to the nvc for happy ending lol. like movies
