  1. Sorry it has taken so long for me to write this up-my work computer has decided that visajourney is a malicious website and won't allow me to access it anymore lol. So Monday morning was our interview, traffic was worse than anticipated so we got there at 8am for an 8:15 appt; we were on time but I'm paranoid about time so I always try to be someone at least 30 minutes early. So walking in we were greeted by security, and they were so nice. They could see I was nervous and told me to just relax and smile. We went to the desk and turned in our paper and were told to wait until an officer called us. We sat down a couple minutes and were called back by a gentleman (I've already forgotten his name). He took us to an office and had us swear in and then pulled out our file. One side had all our papers we had sent in and the other side was a checklist, it looked to be fully complete. I had sent in a lot of proof, but brought in more pictures from our family vacation, medical documents, joint accounts that we opened once he got his ss number etc. He started by asking my husband basic questions, name, address, etc to compare it to the applications; then he asked me the same questions regarding the I-130 and my previous marriages just verifying everything. He got to the I-485 and asked my husband all the questions on there about espionage, terrorism, and I tried not to giggle because it sounded so silly to ask someone these questions; I was really tempted to ask if anyone ever answered yes. After getting through the formalities, he then asked us personal questions. How did we meet, when was our first date, where did we go, how long until we married, did he do anything formal when he asked me to marry him, what do we have in common, have we met each others families, then asked us what the others parents names were (my husband couldn't remember my dads name even though he was just at our house that morning, he was nervous). Then he asked if I brought more proof and I gave him the documents and pictures. He looked through all the pictures and saw us together with my kids and smiled. He was really personable and easy to talk to even though I felt so nervous. He told us that he would make his decision and we should hear something in a couple weeks, but if its been a month to check back in; I think he saw our faces drop (the KC office never seems to give immediate approvals so I expected this but still was hopeful) so he repeated it again and slipped in a "if you are approved...and I think that will be the case...you will get a 2 year conditional greencard because you haven't been married for 2 years" and I felt better. The entire interview was maybe 15 minutes or more, it felt like forever when he was asking us questions! So we left and about two hours later we got the text message that our status was updated and when I checked it said card production! Yesterday I got the update that they mailed his card. I'm so happy to have this over with, if anyone has questions feel free to ask.

  2. Husband applied for his ss card today. I listened to the guy talk to the people ahead of us and he changed his answer every time, from 7-10 days up to 4 weeks! Lol everything is a waiting game.

I'm so excited for everyone's movement and those of you currently stuck my heart goes out to you.

I'm just stressing about our upcoming interview, I feel like we have red flags in their eyes but I'm hoping they already blew through those since we got an interview so quick and no RFE.

  3. Congrats Carrie and Cantofla! :D

I haven't checked my mail today but it's a must once I get home since they mailed out my card on Monday. Hopefully it got delivered today! For a fact it has to arrive this week, or at least I hope it does lol

Theyre trying to kill us! I just realized your timeline says production AND a date for mailed....I cant deal with checking on all these updates, talk about micromanaging lol!

  4. Thanks for the updates and congrats to both of you @Carrie1978 and @cantofla.......I'm laughing though because you both telling me the texts are useless...is NOT helping my addiction to checking the website every 5 minutes! :)

I need to keep busy apparently and let time pass!

I read that from someone else on here, that's what prompted me to check this afternoon! However, I will say that the emails (still no text) came through about 15 minutes after I saw it online. So that works at least, but I'll stick to stalking the website!

  5. Just checked the status online and it says EAD New card is being produced! It was the only one touched out of the four petitions, I wonder if they also approved the I-131? Anyone received their card yet and applied for both? SO happy!

FYI...I didn't get an email/text updated I found out by stalking the website lol.

Ok after I sent this (it wont let me edit it again) they sent me the emails that say the I-765 and I-131 have been approved!

  7. Still be hopeful @Carrie1978 , since you had your Biometrics 7 days after mine....You'll hear some positive news before this week runs out...Good luck & Don't think your case is forgotten.

Thanks bondgirl0078 !! I'm hopeful that we'll hear something by the end of the month at least but this week would be amazing! I just get excited seeing everyone's movement and then think why didn't I send our packet earlier lol.

  8. Received my welcome notice yesterday! Now just waiting for the card :)

Congrats to all the EAD/AP receipts! Glad we are all seeing some movement.

    Wow!!! Congrats!

Got the email earlier that my EAD/AP card has been mailed! Woo! :D

    Yeah! :)

oops totally worded that wrongly  . i meant on August 12th the case is pending for an interview so the waiting game of days, weeks, months begins till i receive mail for an interview date -_-

Still super exciting!! Looking at the timelines I bet you won't be waiting too long for the interview!

  9. Congrats to ALL that have seen movement and approvals! As slow as the process feels while we wait, when I look at the timelines I'm really shocked that we are less than 90 days out and a lot of you have gotten at least the EAD approved!

To those of you that haven't seen movement, has the "touched" date changed at all? I feel paranoid that after the fingerprints a month ago there still has been no touch of our case.

  10. Hello! I have been looking at this thread a long time :) I am also waiting for EAD, the date of NOA is june 12. I had biometrics july 10 and no RFE. Still stuck at "case was received". I am losing patience! Good luck to everybody and thank you for updating your timelines.

Same here, biometrics done July 17th and no touches since July 6th. Aghhhhhh! I at least want to know its being touched by someone even if just moved to the other side of the desk, tell me it's been seen!! :bonk:
