  1. Hi to all...Plesae help..Its been a bad day today... I applied for my SSN last three weeks ago and I got the letter from Social Security Administration today but i did not get my SSN due to my expired I-94..I got my EAD and thats what i used to get my SSN. I read a lot on this site that if you get your EAD you can apply for SSn if you got expired I-94...Is an EAD working or do i need to wait my greencard? I know its my biggest mistakes why i did not apply for my SSN in the first place but im a dummy i did not able to read that i will need an unexpired I-94. Is there anyone out there with the same situation? What did you do? you use EAD or a greencard?

Thank you so much for the help..

  2. Hello!

Earlier you were talking to my fiance, Van, and I am the fiancee, Chie. We're using one VJ account so please don't get confused. My sweetheart is drooling now is it's my turn to use this account. yes.gif

I read all your replies and thanks so much. Anyway, another question (sorry for this):

Van submitted a copy of his Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate, ALL pages of his US passport and Divorce Decree with seal when he did the K1. With all these docs included in the packet, is it safe to say that the embassy people will no longer ask for the Originals of the mentioned docs when they interview me? He is adamant in saying that all the copies he submitted were CLEAR copies so the embassy people will have no reason not to be able to read/understand them.

Thanks a lot again to all those who replied and thanks again in advance to those who will reply.

You know what im with payxibka...Frankly, we had an arguments with my husband because i really want the original because thats what i read. He said NO it is very important and i dont trust the courier service or if it arrive safe what if you will lost it unforeseen occurences will happen.

You know what Yes you answered your own question...

They did not ask for the original divorce decree...I remember the 2nd window asked me if i had a divorce papers with me, i said yes..I got lots of of paperworks with me i cant easily get it and then she said its ok i got it. On her hand, she got all the papers that my fiancee sent to the USCIS she added my documents and the I-134. She will asked it specifically. I never had and we never passed his original birthcertificate and original divorce decree even when we sent our application to USCIS.

I was so paranoid that time i always asked people i've met after there interview if it is hard. It made me worried because i was the last one left with the fiancee applicants and the people that i've meet from St. Lukes and at the embassy there all done and very happy because they passed. They were all said dont worry its not that hard...He will just asked questions with your relationship but im still worried. Lots of what if questions in my mind.

They will sure ask original if there is alteration with your documents.

I know your so worried now i really understand it. Tell me about the pressure and the stress but when you are at the interview it is as easy as pie. C.O asked me just 2 questions...What is my name and my birthdate...Then he checked all the documents i submitted and the papers that USCIS sent to Manila embassy...Sometimes he asked but he answers his own question. Then a few minutes after he said: Congratulations your visa has been approved!!! Then he instructed me to go to a window to sign a visa delivery. I was so relieved. I said to myself is that all? I cant still believe it. The C.O did not asked anything from me.

This is based on my experienced and others that i talked at the embassy if you choosed to have original birthcertificate and divorce papers its up to you.

  4. No, not an original copy of your birthcertificate nor an original copy of your divorce decree. My husband sent me scanned copies...The only original copy that the embassy needs from you is the Affidavit of Support, the I-134 and the rest can be photo copies...You dont have to notarized it, even the I-134 no need to notarized. Her documents must be original.

Please note that you already sent the packet to the USCIS and it will be sent to manila. In Manila, there will be 3 steps:

    1. At the entrance, your fiancee will give the Security guard her appointment letter and a document from St Lukes 1 copy (after medical St Lukes will give her a document evidence that she took her medical.) Those 2 documents, she needs to present it at the entrance guard with a valid I.D. She will wait at the waiting area outside with all the applicants. (Wait and somebody will instruct and guide what to do next).

    2. Inside, the embassy there is a first window she will submit all the DS forms with pictures and they will give her a priority number. She will wait until her number be called.

    3. When her number called, she will submit all the her documents and yours required at the window. They will asked it specifically. There will be questions arise about your relationship. If i am not mistaken she will sign a document stating all the information that she give is true because the C.O will base the his questions of her answers and he check the documents if it is true.

Set and wait until her number be called again and its the final step.

    4. C.O interview...( In my experienced, the C.O did not asked for anymore documents but the the 3rd step window recommended that i should have all the documents because the C.O may ask for it...I had all my documents with me from the beginning i did not took the risked.)

I know you did not asked for this but this may help.

  9. Hi...Good day.. To all Filipina that married an american help me please...I married to an american and we will file my Adjustment of Status. I am very confused. In the Philippines, if a woman gets married her name will be change like this: Firstname Fathers lastname husband's last name. What will be my middle name then since i am living her in the US? Should i keep my middle name as my middle name or i will use my Father's last name as my middle name? I know in the US if you will get married you will keep your second name or middle name but things are different in the Philippines the middle name change into Father's last name if a woman gets married so her maiden name will be her middle name when she was single. Im afraid it will make trouble of me in the future if i will go to the Philippines. Filipinas out there please help me...Thank you so much.

  10. I have recently received my NOA1. Now, according to the process flowchart here, Julia (my fiancée) and I need to begin gathering documents that will be required at the Frankfurt Consulate once they have received our approved petition. I am uncertain, however, of what exact documents are needed on her side. I can see on the K-1 Guide that I can gather certain documents to send to Julia (e.g. a copy of the I-129F packet, etc), but what can she be doing in the meantime to keep this thing going smoothly? Are there not different requirements for the different consulates worldwide?

    Thanks for your help!

Dont do anything until you can get your NOA2. Its frustrating but its the way it is. You will have to wait.

  11. hi guys,

my girlfriend ( USC) and I ( alien, lol) is trying to figure out how we can communicate more than we used to be. shes on verizon as her mobile provider. we are trying to figure out is there is a possibility for her to have another line and send it here to the philippines so we can communicate in cheaper way. is that possible? tell me more if you have any suggestions or promos you know about verizon international calls. the network provider i have is Smart Wireless. ,heres what she wants just to clear it even more. she is currently on verizon mobile as netwrok provider, by may of this year her contract ends, now she wants to know if there it is possible to get me an extension line and send it to me here in philippines and when i am in the states, i could just switch to a new plan under the same network provider. I am sorry if my explaination is not that clear. network providers and promos here in my country are different from the USA. please help for those who know. thank you

    lovelots,

    robert

Hi...Its no need for your girlfriend to send you a line. Just use PLDT Budget CARD (ask the store PLDT cards to call abroad i forgot if its budget card i used it before) it cost 2 dollars something for an hour talk. You can use it Through PLDT landline or payphone just follow the instruction. Or use GLOBE TIPID IDD 2 dollars something for 40 minuters talk. This is the cheapest it can call any lines in the U.S. Just follow the card instructions and be sure if you use Globe use Globe simcard and be sure you have atleast 10 peso regular load when you call but it dont charge you extra it just a requirement. Hope this help.

1.As long as it is still valid for 6 months. If not it's better to get a new one esp. if u don't know when ur interview is?

    2. As long as it is authenticated and in a yellow NSO paper then it's okay as there is no expiration for that.

    3. You don't have to take all the 15 BUT it's all included in the fee already so yes u can or u don't have to..it's up to u.

My NBI clearance will still be valid for 6 months but i decided to get a new one because i dont want it will mess up everything. About the CENOMAR you have to get a new one atleast not 2 months old before the interview because it will expire in 6 months. If its beyond 2 months they will think that you were on that 2 months and your visa will be on hold. Just put yourself on a safe for everything because the whole process, aside its too long ,depressing and stress. You dont have to mess up everything right? The medical, the doctor can tell what will be vaccines that u need. They will ask your medical experience. Just tell them the truth and they will give you right vaccines. Vaccines they will base on your age too. Usually they will give 4 vaccines

Hi there. It is really in initial review on there site. It doesn't mean you can get RFE. If ever you will know because they will post it on your visa status. Dont worry too much. If you have all the documents everything will be under control. We went through of what you experience. But now its everythings worth. I've passed the interview. Good luck!!!

my question is, does anyone here tried to email the embassy and the same happen like mine?

Thank u in advance...I appreciate ur respond :)

Use this email address everytime you will have concerns. support-philippines@ustraveldocs.com. A visa help desk will answer you. You can even use this email to get an appointment. Believe me this is what i did. Its hazzle free and you dont have to call them its expenssive. Through email you can give them right information. Im approved during my interview last feruary 15. Good luck...

  17. I am the U.S. citizen who is applying to bring my fiancé over from another country. When he fills out his bio form (G-325a), there is a place at the bottom which says "Applicant: Print your name and Alien Registration number in the box outlined by heavy border below." Is he the applicant, since it's his bio form, or am I the applicant since I'm the one making the petition? Whose name do we put?

You and your fiancee will fill up G-325a so it means one for u and one for him. He will fill up his and print his name. Alien registration number put N/A.
