Oh ok, I didn't know that about the military table. I thought it was just for actual military members but if it says on your notice then yes, that's the table you check in at.

Just a tip, bring a snack and water because you're gonna be there for a while. And congratulations!!

I just attended a naturalization ceremony in Los Angeles in August myself so I am speaking from my own experience. The ceremonies at LA Convention Center are usually very big, about 5,000 applicants plus guests (which means10,000 or more people since almost every applicant brings at least one guest). Applicants and guests are separated at entrance and wait to enter in separate lines. At the ceremony applicants sit in the front and guests sit in the back. So it's very unlikely that they will let your son sit with you but you can ask and maybe they'll make an exception. If I were you though, I'd bring another family member or friend so they can wait and sit with him. There will be a lot of waiting and standing around since it takes a couple of hours to have several thousand people seated before the ceremony starts.

The military table is for military members who are naturalizing and receive special recognition at the ceremony so this doesn't apply to you, regardless of your husband's status.

I don't know if it's the same in other states but when I lost my driver license and went to DMV to apply for a replacement one they didn't ask for any ID or other documents because they already had my picture in the system along with all of my info so they were able to verify my identity that way. So I would start there because once she has her driver license all other documents should be easy to obtain.

Have you moved to a different address too? If yes then you have to file change of address. If no then you can just update your new job info at the interview.

They usually put applications in line for interview scheduling about a month before your 3/5 anniversary (if you file during 90 day window) and your interview is then scheduled sometime after your anniversary. How long you are in line depends on how busy your local office is as well as other factors. You can check previous months threads for other people's timelines for your office to see how long it usually takes.

I ended up filing for a replacement in early February. Hadn't gotten any updates after biometrics until today when I got an update saying my application has been approved and that my new card is on its way. Funny thing is I am taking my oath to become a US citizen in 9 days so I am receiving a new card only to give it back a few days later (if it even gets to me before my ceremony). What a waste of money!

Yes Christi, of course you can enter EU with your EU passport. Actually, I think you are supposed to use your EU passport when entering EU, just like you are supposed to use your US passport to enter the US.

Another question: my GC was stolen in January, I applied for a replacement in February. At my naturalization interview the officer had me write and sign a sworn statement about lost GC, gave me a copy and told me to bring it to the ceremony. I hadn't heard anything about my I90 application until a few days ago when I received an update saying my address has been changed - I never changed my address so that was confusing. Then yesterday I received another update saying my I90 has been approved so I assume I should be receiving my new GC soon. Do I bring both the GC and the statement about lost GC to the ceremony or just GC (if I receive it before the ceremony)? If I receive the new GC after the ceremony what do I do with it? Im guessing return it to uscis?

Hi everyone! I am updating the list since I received my NOA in the mail yesterday.It's form I-797C and it states ''the above application has been received by our office and is in process''. It has a NBC case number and it also says ''Upon receipt of all required record checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at your local USCIS office". It doesn't say anything about application being approved , does it have to say that ? I also wanted to ask you, what's the next step? I will just be waiting for biometric appt letter in the mail? Thank you.

It doesn't say anything about application being approved because it hasn't been approved yet. It will only be approved if and when you pass your interview. First NOA is only an acceptance notification, nothing else. Next step is biometrics, then interview.

Thank you for the response , I used a website us-immigration. And I always had to update my forms because they always change it. So yesterday I logging and they ask me for more information. So I printed today and sent it ... one of them is information about my spouse job. And the other one says : previous address . So I'm not sure if they just change that or what?

Oh do you mean you forgot to fill out parts 4 and 8? Those portions have always been a part of the application, as far as I know, they are not new. It's always best to download forms from www.uscis.gov to make sure that you have the most recent and correct form.

Are you saying that you filled out parts 4 and 8 and mailed them in after you mailed your application? It's not very likely they will get matched with your original application (they might but I wouldn't count on it) so USCIS will probably return it to you so you can fill in the missing parts and re-file.
