My wife and I might have a problem. I sent in the 864 alone without the other paperwork (DS-230, etc). right now we're waiting on her government to slowly get her police record to her and for the overpriced translator (he charges $25 per document and I've had to send every one of them back for spell check and translation check) While reviewing the stuff we have for her to send to me tomorrow she looked at our wedding certificate. For some reason (probably so they can make more money of off renewing them) it's "expired". will she have to go get a new copy then?

OK I'm just trying to make sure on things. In June I mailed in the I-130 for my wife, a Panamanian citizen. We were married in Panama on March 26th. In July she was denied a travel visa. On November 9th the petition was approved. I received my NOA2 on November 15th. So here we are. From what I'm understanding we can't really do anything until she receives something in the mail from the US embassy there in Panama. It'll be a list of things she needs to get together. From what I'm understanding, primarily she'll have to go to an approved doctor to get her vaccinations and her clean police record. Is there anything else we can be doing right now? Is there anything else we'll need. I'm trying to not get my hopes up too much but it looks like she could be here between February and May. Does that seem right? THank you for any help or advice you can offer.

Sent in the I-130 on June 7, received NOA1 June 26 2010. Now I'm kind of unsure of what to do because I was told that the I-129F was unnecessary. Trying to get the I-864 together.

So the guide on here is a little outdated? And I should just stop doing the I-129F and wait for the government to inform me over the I-130 I sent in? Thank you for the responses!

I have already sent in my I-130 packet and am now putting together the I-129F packet as per the instructions on the guides section of visajourney. What I am confused about is what is the I-130 Transfer Notice and where do I get it? Thank you!
