  1. Hi there,

We have mom & two boys here in USA now from Mexico (wow...Juarez was a trip)

They are now happily married & getting ready to adjust status

Lupita did Biometrics In Cd. Juarez, Mexico for her interview on K1 fiancee visa.

My question is this does she need to include the fee to effectively RE-do Biometrics again?

    Thanks!

    Kim

p.s. kids are getting ready to start school on Sept 6 & all are having a fun time

  2. Hello this its for the ones that have been throu juarez interview!

    SO i have a question:

Do i need to take a new birth certificate?? i have and old one from 2000 i think (original).

The thing is when i went to get my passport they told me i need a new birth certificate!!!? lucky me my mom had one mine from 2008 BUT they took the original and didnt get the chance to get copies :crying: . WOULD I BE FINE WITH MY OLD BIRTH CERTIFICATE??? :help: .

They like fresh nice non stained or rumpled copies...I suggest you go to get at least 3 NEW originals (they will not take a photocopy)

Yes you will need many of them in Juarez & also in the USA when you go for your marriage license etc...

Find a way to get into the office & get more originals!

  3. Yes do the letter of intent in English, if you are going to see him soon...get all the papers he needs to sign & bring them with. I also think you should check that your passport photos are exactly 2X2 inches & done correctly since we had an RFE for our photos (we did them in Mexico & did not get correct size) it slowed down our pettition by about a month!

  4. has anyone been to juarez for the k1 interview? was it dangerous? i read its one of the worlds dangerous cities?

It is dangerous however we just came thru Juarez with 2 kids & if you are smart & do some homework on where to stay...you will be safe.

It took us 9 days with the 2 children for K1 visa because children need a TB test that takes 3 days to develop under the injection site. We stayed at La Quinta Hotel, made the reservations online with this discount code HOMEDL to save money & they also have a free shuttle everywhere! Don't worry it is not too scary! We actually had some fun hanging by the pool...but the best was walking across the border to El Paso Texas. You will find many reviews here about juarez & I am happy to help with any questions when it comes time to get hotel & everything!

    best wishes, Kim

  5. So I got my VISA a few weeks ago, but due to different things I was not able to get to the States right away, so my husband booked the tickets for August 3rd which is next week and POE would be Miami's airport.

Now when I got my visa and package on the instrutions says: "you may cross at any border you wish but if you are crossing by way ciudad Juarez pay attention to the information written in the bottom right hand of the corner of the enveloppe as you must cross at that POE"

Then today I called and they said that I have to cross at the POE that it says on the envelope, and then when I tell them that on the instruccions says that I can cross at any border then the operators just say then it's fine, I just hope you have no trouble... WHAT IN THE WORLD?

Now I don't know what to do... what if I get to Miami's airport and I'm not allowed in?

    It's very confusing

    Help me please!!!

You can cross anywhere by airplane, but if you cross at Juarez you must cross the bridge on the envelope!

Don't worry a bit & hope you get here soon!

    Congrats!

    Kim

  6. Hello everyone!

We are waiting for our invitation letter so we can schedule an interview @ the cosulate inm cdj for our k1 fiance visa.

I live in Dallas and I would like to go to Juarez with my fiance ( I know I wont be able to be with him at the consulate)anyways... My plan its to fly into El Paso, but then I dont know how to get to Ciudad Juarez, does anyone know if we can just take a taxi and the taxi will be able to get into Juarez or I will have to go just to the border cross it and then take another taxi (I wont be felling safe doing this honestly)? well any comment will be appreciated.

    thanks!

Have you considered flying into Cd Juarez? rather than El Paso? we flew into Juarez from Cancun, took a taxi from Juarez airport to our hotel for $20usd. It was not very difficult & if your fiancee is already in Juarez he could meet you at airport.

We just spent 9 days in Juarez with few problems so feel free to contact me with questions. I was there as a friend of the future bride from Cancun I traveled with her & her two boys who are marrying a friend of mine from Minnesota! They are here now all safe & happy as we plan the wedding in 3 weeks time!

my email is kimberlie@ruliens.com if you have any questions about Juarez I am happy to try & help!

  7. Thanks, hey did you receive your packet 3 at an address in Mexico? We got our NOA2 in May and haven't received anything in Mexico, my fiance in the US received a letter with instructions but that's it. I'm a little bit lost, so anything you can say will be highly appreciated.

    Caro.

Our US Citizen recieved the invitation letter , however it NEVER arrived at the home of Mexican fincee...we just used a copy of the invitation letter at Juarez with no problem! Just scan it & send it on email. Make several copies for Juarez...easy as can be!

    We were approved easily.

You will not get anything else, if you have your NOA2 you just need to mnake your appointment & go to Juarez! Congrats...

    hello all,

I have received the letter from NVC that with our case number (cdjxxx...). When I follow the instructions to schedule an appointment on http://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx, I am asked for an NVC invoice number. I have found a web-site that indicates that my date of birth is the invoince number. With that said, the web-site is not accepting our case and invoice number. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks.

We had to call the NVC to get our case number...it is not on any of your papers!

  8. Okay, I think I got this right...

Her full name looks like this: Maria Celadonia Vargas Garcia. (Her first name is both Maria Celadonia - Her father's name: Vargas - and her mothers name: Garcia.)

Now when I fill her name in on the I-130 I'll go with:

    FAMILY: Vargas Garcia

    FIRST: Maria Celadonia

    MIDDLE: N/A

Should this be okay? I'm not too concerned with whether or not they use her first name correctly, I just don't want them to look back at her passport or marriage certificate and say they don't match up.

    Family- Vargas Garcia

    First- Maria

    Middle- Celadonia

We just came thru Juares on K1 fiancee visa with 2 kids & this how the name thing works!

  9. When coming in on Fiancee visa from Mexico you do not get a 'packet 3' you will just recieve an invitation letter in the mail...however most Mexican citizens never recieve this letter due to the postal system. Your US Citizen fiancee will recieve a letter (it is just a plain old letter & no big deal but very important to have) you can fax this or scan it & make a copy & send in email to Mexica fiancee...copies work just fine at the consulate (we just came thru Juarez earlier this month)

So you need this letter & a DS-260 finished on the consulate website, and the email from the website saying you have been registered & paid. These 3 things are needed at each interview stage in Juarez (medical, ASC/fingerprints, Interview) It seems complicated but it is not too bad & I suggest the La Quinta Hotel since the free shuttle service & help from the hotel staff is simply fantastic A+)

  10. My wife and I sent in a ton of evidence with our I-751 in January and are not expecting an RFE. Nevertheless, given that it's been 6 months and our case still hasn't been approved, I started worrying that maybe we were sent an RFE and it got lost in the mail. I'm signed up for case updates on the USCIS website, so I'm assuming I'd get an e-mail notification if an RFE was coming and that my case status on the website would indicate that an RFE had been issued. Is that correct?

Our RFE came first by email then a week later was in the USC's mailbox...we had the NOA2 3 weeks after the RFE! (we sent in the stuff they asked for same week! It was wrong sized passport photos) oops we were K1 visa...sorry wrong reply info

  11. Great, thanks! Yes, I used the discount for La Quinta, so we will save some $$$. Yes, the confirmation letter is the email I am referring to, so I have that as well. Good advice on the coyotes. It is my fiance and her daughter, so I am going with them everywhere, I don't care if I have to wait in the hot sun while they do they're stuff, I don't want them out there alone. Thanks!

Yes go with them every where...sun is not to bad since you can wait inside with them at medical.. I like the blue medical building, it has nice breezy shaded waiting room so try to go there! (Say hi to Angel the morning driver at La Quinta shuttle service & tell him la gringa con Lupita y los niños got into USA in time for 4 de Julio!!!)

The ASC is the only appointment that was really sunny for waiting, but it is a short wait & well timed they put a big sign in the window saying now accepting people with 1:40pm appontments etc...you can not go in but lots of folks are waiting outside & there is an OXXO to buy a soda pop!

the consulate has seating to wait at outside & time went fast cuz so many others are waiting!

I will write my big review today so go read that later for all the details!

Have fun! with the children it was 8 days total in Juarez!

  12. Hi all,

Proof of on-going relationship (photos, plane tickets, etc...)

Anything else? Thanks everyone for your input. I've read the reviews on CDJ and they've been very informative.

If you stay at La Qunita use this code for online discount...HOMEDL...saved us about $10 per day!!!!

You will take the original birth certificates to DHL along with fiancees ID (like electoral card...since she won't have passport they have it at DHL) you can not go into DHL with her, she needs to go in alone but you can wait outside)

when you put your finacial info together put your tax from 2010 right under the I-134 afidavit of support...then put 2009, then work stuff. They keep all your finacial stuff & I think they just quickly look at what you earn...at least that is what happened to us!

The confirmation letter you are talking about is the confirmation email , right? cuz that is what we needed.

Go with you fiancee everywhere & wait outside or go in where ever they let you (like at Medical) They coyotes try to get you the first day outside the medical they are fantastically organized jerks, with shirts printed up to say they are with the medical places, they have ID & everything. TALK TO NO ONE UNTIL INSDE MEDICAL BUILDING!!!

I recommend two originals of birthcertificates so you can bring a copy here to USA for school or any other thing you may need it for.

  13. In Minnesota & Wisconsin in time for the Fourth of July!

Lupita & kids are here & loving it, just in time for Independence day! She has a happy fiancee!!!

Will write big review of Juarez & all procedures after the holiday weekend!

Giant thank you to all VJ-ers who helped us out...I cannot thank you enough!

    Kim

    Rip & Lupita (L)

    Chucho & Kevin :D

  14. Did she need the police certificates???

    and CONRGRATULATIONS ON THE APPROVAL

NO police certificates...they did not ask for any y we did not bring any! They asked if she was ever in trouble in USA she said she was never in USA they asked if she was every arrested in Mexico she answered honestly that NO she was never arrested! All good, Lupita y kids approved y now we wait for passports with attached visas to get to DHL

  15. yeeayy I was waiting for you to comment :) Yeap I looked it up, NO POLICE RECORDS FOR MEXICO! So what do you advise me to do in the mean while Rick?

 I don't like to wait but I guess this process will teach me to be patient!! :star:

We are in Juarez already have visa approved just waiting for it to be delivered thru DHL we DID NOT need police certificates! All good

  16. Ok here is what I know now!

Lupita did not need police certificate!

As for the way bill number, a family that went to the interview same day as us on Tuesday got the visas at DHL today Thursday! They have it in their hands!

We went to DHL today and they said we need the way bill number but it is still saying no info on the page at this time so we will keep checking...I feel a bit jealous that someone that was with us the same day same interview time is already with visa in their hands...but maybe later today or tomorrow!

    Dang waybill number hurry up!

As for kids Sarah they did not pose much of a problem, we are feeding them free breakfast here in hotel, went to walmart y smart for sandwich stuff. Ther is free Internet all over hotel so your laptops work in the rooms plus cable tv with lots of channels...they can,t go into pool until the TB test is checked but now there is lots of time for swimming in pool y jacuzzi!

Make your reservation here with extra days if you use the HOMEDL code for disccout price since starting today the price goes up by $6 I reserved 8 days y today is day 9

I am happy i have had so much information from this wesite y today I paid it forward helping my 3 rd person with computer stuff at hotel computers (also free to use) here at la Quinta hotel.

We will keep checking the website all day for waybill number y say more prays to get home before forth of July festivities!

  17. why dont u call the DHL in Juarez? they must know!... and when u find out I would like to know too :)

    Congrats on the approvals!!!

    Hahahaha ok!

I am wondering if someone who has already been here can tell me...

Since we registered for our DHL location, & I see our names on the www.us visa-info.com site but it does not give a number or anything yet, I am wondering if this is where we will get the way bill number or do I need to register for something else?

The info given to us at the consulate is pretty vague

  18. Hi everyone!

Lupita & the kids got their visas approved yesterday but I am confused about the waybill number thing! How do I get one? I see we are are signed up on the visa info site but I don't see where to obtain a waybill number or if it will just appear now that we had had the interview yesterday.

We are in Juarez waiting for the visas so will be here a week or more.

Help anyone on how to find this information please!

    Kim

  19. Ok here is what to watch out for!

The coyotes have nice badges they look professional, they approach you in front of the medical clinics as you walk to the clinic from the van...ignore everyone! Say NO NO No leave me alone please!

They told Lupita she needed a special paper to enter the medical since she was K1 I was not with her though I see now I could have gone along! I even informed her of coyotes but they are so professional they even have an office across the street with computers they took her passport and papers and entered all her information into their computer printed out her rel stuff!!! Like the stuff I had already done for her interview! They made her pay a bit over $250 gave her reciept then drove her to real clinic. It is freaky cuz they now have all her data and phone number etc...bastards!

The thing is they like to get the early people in front of clinic since they are tired, nervous, hungry etc since you have been traveling and usually do the medical the first early morning.

    Now I will write in not very perfect Spanish;

    I hope this helps everyone!

Today is Sunday Domingo, so we are relaxing...tomorrow, monday we go get clinic results of kids TB tests which we did last Friday, then Tuesday is the actual interview! Quite the experience here!

Friday we took hotel transport van to S-Mart near hotel and bought food for our room...we walked back to hotel very close, at around 2pm sunny day. Then yesterday on the way for fingerprints at the ASC we passed the same S-Mart while in the van...they were cleaning up blood in the parking lot where we had been just 24 hours earlier...3 people shot & murdered in broad daylight in front of S-Mart at 11am on a Saturday! Wow...we don't walk anywhere now we only use hotel. Transport I recommend everyone do the same.

    Kim

  20. Hi everyone waiting for Juarez info!

Yesterday Lupita went on 6am transport van to her medical, bummer I did not go with because she got taken by coyotes for $250 us dollars they tricked her though I had informed her what to do so everyone be careful! They actually took her & kids in a van to an office got all her info entered into a computer took phone number etc...she then got some papers from them & paid a big fat lie of $250! These guys are so professional, I got a call in hotel room saying she needed more money & I went to pay what she had lost! Bummer bummer bummer! I am just happy they did not hurt her & kids! On the street with me we were approached several times & I just said 'Largate' y 'Dejame en Paz!' these guys are slick so watch out!

Anyway all the medicals are complete kids will pick up TB test results at 11:00am Monday. Today is ASC at 1:40pm. Tuesday is the big day interview!

    More updates later...Kim
