Changing my passport will take 6 to 8 weeks and my flight will be in 2 weeks! Stupid me did not think about putting it on my maiden name. And I called the Philippine Consulate and told me to get a Certificate of one and thesame person. I hope this one works.

Im experiencing same problem. I want to know what happened.

If you have a copy of that white I-94 card front and back, a copy of the entry stamp and a copy of your K-1 visa then you've submitted what they need. Do NOT send the original.
It doesn't matter that you took it out of the passport, mine wasn't even stapled in.
Can you please type exactly what the sentence on the RFE says?
alright here's the letter :
Submit one of the following:
1.Evidence of your lawful admission or parole into the United states. Such evidence includes, but is not limited to, Form I-94, Form I-512 with completed arrival stamp, or a copy of nonimmigrant visa page of your passport showing admission to the United States.
2. Or, If you last entered the United States without inspection, you must submit evidence of your eligibility for adjustment of status under section 245(i) of the immigration and nationality act(INA). To be eligible for adjustment under 245(i) of INA, you must be beneficiary of an immigrant visa petition or applicant for labor certification filed on or before April 30,2001. Unless not required in the instructions for Supplement A, you must pay the required section 245(i) surcharge fee. The $1,000 surcharge fee must be paid with each application submitted under the provisions of section 245(i) of the Act.

idk.. im scared to give them the original copy.. well i guess i just have to send it again and scan it clearly and make it larger so they can see it.. thanks anyway
-
I don't understand this. This is all you need.
Maybe they want the real i-94 and not the photocopy?
sis, thats what i have. but i took it out from the passport in order for them to see the stamp on my passport, coz when they staple it, it covers the stamp on my passport, i also have the stamp on my departure slip.
-
i gave them my I-94 photocopy(departure slip)back and forth and also photocopy of my passport, visa with stamp.. and if i cant send them the I-94, i need to file Supplement A( people need this if they are not inspected by customs during their POE) and u gotta pay 1000!! isn't it ridiculous?!! i was inspected thats why i have a stamp on my I-94(departure slip) and also my passport..
-
i'm surpised that they took it....i just want to know if the I-94 that you sent them you did the copy back and forth...departure record in front with admission number and stamped by Homeland Sec and the date you arrived in the US...then at the back is your Alien #? if you have that...that's the only thing you should show to USCIS. so i dunno which part of the I-94 they took from you.
they took the arrival slip, but i have the departure slip and it was stapled in my passport. they stamped it but they didnt put my alien number at the back of my departure slip .. my friend also took the arrival slip and left her the departure slip but she havent had a problem with it and she have her green card now..

Hi everybody, i just want some answers bout my concerns.. i already filed my AOS and i have an RFE, USCIS is asking my I-94 which i already sent them. i sent them the departure slip, coz my arrival slip took by the officer, and we called the Portland, Oregon( my POE) about it and they said, they took the arrival slip coz they really have to, its their job to take it. and also the officer said, as long as u have the stamp on ur departure slip you are good. and i also have my passport stamped. i was just wondering maybe the USCIS wanted to see my arrival slip together with my departure to have a complete I-94.. but i cannot get it anymore. im so freaking out about this. i dont know what to do..

USCIS website has a change or "touch" on July 19th but the status remained the same. Yesterday I got both letters in the mail. The NOA2 from VSC saying I am approved on July 19th and a second letter from NVC saying the package got there on July 22 and would be heading to Manila shortly!
I just wanted to thank the owners of this website and all the contributors/members. The information here is invaluable in assisting anyone in being successful at the immigration process! I followed everything I read here and am now half way home!
Vermont is doin a great job! Congrats

guys need help on organizing paperwork for interview.. any tips would be big help

Hi everyone. I just had my interview.
The consul said everything is fine with my papers.
However, in my fiance`s 2009 tax return, he said was not enough to support me.
My fiance is self employed. His previous years` tax returns were high except last 2009 due to losses
in his company. That`s the only thing we submitted though, his 2009 tax return.
They said this can be overcome if we can submit additional proof that he can support me.
The lady who released my passport said co-sponsor is not an option. She said my fiance can get another job, but that`s not possible at all. His time is not even enough running his business.
To those who had been through this, what other supporting evidence did you submit?
now im scared, coz my fiance's 2008 and 2009 income tax returns are below the poverty level, but he has a job now, a permanent and above the poverty level. do i need to worry bout this or not? good thing i found this topic..

Hello I filed my K1 I129F Petition on April 16, I recieved my NOA1 april 20, 2010. I see that the processing timelines here at VJ are stating that the Vermont service center is processing between 75 and 80 days now. and they are currently processing for petition dates for april 12. Are the statistics fairly accurate for the Vermont service center? How is the data collected? is it accurate as to the Service center is really processing speed and petition dates? I have been missing my filipino Fiancee since april. I am missing her so much. This is very hard for me! Could somebody please give me some helpful encouraging advice, as to possibly how close I am to recieving my NOA2 from Vermont. It been a little over 2 months, havent heard anything. If anyone could give me advice or information if there is anything I can do or that would help me during this hard time of the unknown waiting period. My fiancee and I love each other so much and want to be together and marry soon. Thank you very much! Randall
it really depends on the person who is holding or processing ur papers, just be patient and pray to God, and trust him.. i did all that and within 39 days i had my NOA2..

They are typically more interested in current income. Hence submitting evidence such as recent pay stubs is very useful. You can also submit a letter of employment stating hire date, position, salary, type of employment such as full-time or part time although this is not as helpful as CURRENT PAY STUBS.
Be prepared to provide at least one year of tax returns or tax transcripts as required by the Consulate. It will not be an issue that the tax form does not show meeting 125% of the poverty threshold as it is not required that you previously met the level, it is required that you now currently meet that level.
Good luck.
thank you! my fiance is now preparing our documents and he's bout to tell the boss to put the estimated anual income in his employment letter, and also he saved all his pay stubs from the day he started until now. plus his bank statements.. i pray all of these would be enough evidences including the form I-134, and income tax returns plus explanation letter why he only have low income in his previous years...

guys i just want to know if i need to worry bout this or not. My fiance's 2008 and 2009 income tax returns are below the poverty guidelines, coz he was in college and worked part time. but now he got a job, he got his job last March 17,2010 under probation. recently he got permanent just this last June 18,2010, he's getting more than the poverty guidelines. what do u think, are we good or do we need co-sponsor for back up? thanks guys for ur future replies..
-
“Rarely accepts co-sponsor” or “lucky if” is not the best term. USEM, does accepts co-sponsor(s) on a case by case basis. for the K-1. Meaning it’s not infrequent or unusual, it greatly depends on the totality of the petition, circumstance of the petitioner and the relationship of the co-sponsor.
u can never tell if u will get approved or not, but better to be safe. thats why i said rarely accepts co sponsor, coz i heard some previous applicants didnt accept their co sponsorship and let the fiance find a way to show proofs of CURRENT SUSTAINED INCOME and told them "we dont accept co sponsorhip", and i knew one applicant who is my friend who just got approved who used co sponsorship its because the fiance recently graduated from college and just got his job for like a week before the interview.. thats why i cant say they dont accept or they accept.

hi i'm looking forward my father is willing to co-sponsor for my fiancee and my father file his income tax with my mother it means the house hold size is 3 people my father, my mother and my fiancee.
my question is my parents live with my sister at the same house my sister is married with 3 kids and file their own income tax, are they included with house hold size even though they file their own income tax?
if ur still in the process of waiting on ur NOA2, find a job. that was our problem back then but with God's grace my fiance blessed with a good paying job, he got his job March 17,2010 under probation and got permanent just recently June 18,2010. and were still on the process of waiting the NVC letter.

you know what, manila embassy rarely accepts co-sponsor. u will be lucky if they will approve ur co sponsorship. do u have a job? what step are u in now? do u already have interview date?

hi, we are just days ahead of you, our i129 was approved on june 1, and right now im waiting for the packet 3.. check the US embassy mnaila website http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1en.pdf about the documents that you need to prepare..better to collect all of it asap..the cenomar doesnt have an expiry date.
as i've read the vacciness are not included in the medical fee... i am also a nurse and also wondering about all those shots..but majority of those in the list are already given to us when we were a baby..or if you had those disease before..maybe we can just get a booster shots for hepa b and tetanus..and meningococcal and other new vaccines in the list, we need that too... i think those vaccines are needed before the adjustment of our status from non-immigrant to immigrant.. but we both know that it will be cheaper if we get those shots here..just dont forget to get a proof of vaccination..
goodluck
do we really need to wait for packet 3?

From reports by VJ members on a thread in the Philippines forum, it appears that the DS-156, DS-156K, and DS-157 are still required for K-1 visas at the U.S. Embassy in Manila. The new DS-160 is not required for K-1 visas.
If you look at the DS-160 announcement on the U.S. Embassy Manila web site, you will notice a link ("Frequently Asked Questions") to the Department of State web site toward the bottom of the announcement. Click on "Frequently Asked Questions" and then read question #13. Question #13 explains that K-1 visas are an exception to the new DS-160.
U.S. Embassy Manila DS-160 announcement: click here.
Department of State: "Frequently Asked Questions" about the DS-160: Click here.
Philippines forum thread which discusses K-1 visas and the new DS-160: Click here.
question #13 at travel state gov frequently asked: When I apply for a nonimmigrant visa using the online DS-160, are additional forms required?
answer: No, with two exceptions. When applying at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate that is using the new DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application, you will use only one (1) form. For Embassies and Consulates that have converted to this new process, the DS-160 has replaced all of the following forms: DS-156, DS-157, DS-158, and DS-3032, which are no longer necessary.
NOTE: The exceptions are Fiancé(e) Visas (K-1/2) which still require use of the forms DS-156 and DS-156K, and the Treaty Trader/Treaty Investor visa application, which is explained in #14 below.
*It is important to check the Embassy or Consulate website where you will apply for your nonimmigrant visa for information on the application process in place. Embassies and consulates worldwide will transition one-by-one to the DS-160. Therefore, those Embassies which have not yet converted to the new DS-160 online form continue to require all application forms, as necessary. <------ i think it depends on the embassy, if manila embassy still needs the old forms then we will send them those forms but its just so confusing when u go to manila emabssy site they stated that it is REQUIRED to fill out the DS-160..this is so confusing
