  1. that sound like a long time...I am sorry!

At least they told you that no biometrics had been schedule for you?

And if it was an immigration officer that told you about the approval next month he might know what he is saying...(or not! ) unfortunately it is hard to say...

I think (my opinion) that you are going to be approved without any biometrics (this happened to some people)...because almost 8 months is too much time to still receive a biometrics appointment...

If I was you, I would not rest until get some concrete information...schedule another infopass and make sure to ask them if they ever sent you an interview letter or a request for evidence...(which I don't think they did )

Good luck to you and keep us posted!

Hoppefuly your approval and green card are on the way soon!

He said no biometrics had been scheduled. So how does this work when someone gets approved without biometrics appointments?

  2. Moved from AOS forum to Removal of Conditions forum as it is a ROC thread.

    moderator hat off now -

Have you made an Infopass appointment? Did you receive your NOA receipt extending your green card status for one year? I think that is what the gentleman you talked to meant. Btw - the 1-800 line is not a very reliable source of information - it is manned by call center employees who are not immigration officers but read off of a prepared list of circumstances. I would definitely make an Infopass appointment now - bring everything you have with you - the NOA, copy of your file submssion, etc. and ask them to find out what is going on. 8 months is too long to wait right now, especially when you haven't received your Biometrics appointment.

    Good luck

Yeah as I meantioned earlier I did receive the extention for 1 year. I was transfered to an immigration officer and he was the one who told me that I would receive the approval letter mid june.

  3. Hello Everyone.

I am very concerned about my case, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

On October 1st 2009 I filed my i-751 (my Conditional green card was to expire December 31st). On October 7th I received the NOA (i-797c) extending my Conditional green card for another year.

I filed my i-751 with the California Service Center.

It is now May 26th (Almost 8 months later) and I have yet to receive the biometrics appointment.

I called USCIS several times. They keep on telling me to just wait. To just wait.

Finally last month, some gentleman said that I "SHOULD" received an approval letter on Mid June. I would then be required to file an INFOPASS to get my biometrics taken.

That sounded great, but it confused me greatly. I thought the biometrics appointment came first, then the approval letter. What going on? Is this normal? Why is it the opposite? Does he know what he was talking about or he was just telling me a white lie because he had no idea of what to expect? Anyone else had a similar experience?

What should I expect? And when should I expect my approval or biometrics, or ANY information at all.

I am very concerned about this because they provide NO information on the status of your case.

Please I would greatly appreciate some help to calm me down.
