  1. Thanks guys for a very informative input. I want to know if when they call my wife's name to be interviewed, do we have to go at the same time? Do i have to tell the CO if it's ok to be with my wife? Or i just keep silent til CO say something 1st? By the way, appropriate clothing for interview, a coat & tie? Then, how do i address to CO that we would like to pick up the visa instead? In writing or verbal? Maraming salamat po!

  2. Hello,

I am in the state of regretting something that I know for the rest of my life I will regret it. Today, Manila time (5/27) they will burry my Father-In-Law, he passed away this past saturday. I really wanted to go home to the Philippines to give my support to my wife and to my in-laws, but I did not. I thought their plan was to burry my father-in-law around saturday or sunday, but they decided to do it on thursday. My plan is to leave LAX on 5/26. When I spoke to my wife this past sunday, she mentioned to me that funeral will be thursday. I was like, Im not gonna make it. At work, I requested leave, but have not heard right away. Me and my wife spoke to each other monday night, because she'd rather have me to be with her when she comes here in U.S., so we decided not for me to go home, secondly I was in a budget crunch. If money wasnt just a factor, I should have made it. My mother in law will go back abroad to work sometime around july and some of my wife's sibling works abroad will return after a week or two, after all this things, she will be left with 2 sibling in their house, 1 of them staying to their house (and has a night shift job) and the other 1 (sister) will stay once in a while, because she wants to stay with her in-laws. I feel sorry to my wife that she will be left again, and I dont want that to happen. So around July during her interview, I told her that I will be there for her, until everything is good and we will both go here in U.S. because I really dont want her to be alone in their house. The only thing I really regret is not being there right now, during the saddest time of her life. I know she needed my support, I know I can borrow money from friends, and that is my biggest regret and mistake of not pursuing going home and not being there. I'd asked forgiveness to my father-in-law and sorry for not seeing him, I really regret it. Sorry long post.

  3. Thanks guys for all the reply, next question I have is, is it possible for my wife to pick up the visa instead of waiting for Air 21? Reason is she will be going back to U.S. with me 10 days after the interview. If its possible, how can I address this to the CO? Thanks again.
