Hello maabish, welcome to the United States. If you don't receive your green card after 1 month call USCIS to ask about it. My husband waited 2 months and when we called USCIS they had no record of the green card being produced just a record of the payment. My husband got his card 30 days after they put in a service request.

my journey started in oct 2009 and ended last week when i landed at JFk, immigration done very smoothly at abh dhabi, no tension staff was friendly and nice.

my question is how can you check you green card is produced or not, please guide in this regard

Hello everyone!

I am finally going to the US this Saturday and wanted to make sure I have everything under control in term of the documents.

At the POE I'll have a brief interview with the officer, they'll take the sealed envelope away and put a stamp in my passport. 1-3 months after that I'll be getting my green card in the mail. (I've already paid the USCIS fee)

Now after this I am bit confused. Will the SSN arrive on its own in the mail too? Or should I go to the SSA and apply for one on my own?

I know that I also need to register with the Selective Service and probably apply for the state ID card. (Like the driving license, except I can't drive).

Is there anything I am missing here?

I know about removing the removing the conditions of my CR-1 after two years.

The immigrant must enter the US on IR-1 Visa with the sponsor (or the sponsor must already be in the US).

I don't know if this is really a confusion cause I have got the phone call 20 days ago and they were asking for the same but I was not at home and my family received the call. I sent a few emails to the embassy but they don't reply. I tried to contact the NVC but they don't know either all they say is that embassy is waiting on updated documents. They are not clear in their message that they want just the barcode to be emailed or they want people to submit the documents too before they schedule applicants for personal appearance ? anyone who has same experience before ? please reply to help others. sir i received email for docs, so i submitted my confirmation page same day 06 nov then done my medical on 07 nov and sent on 10 nov but the girl from embassy tolde me on phone that i should not send the medical and pics to embassy whether i bring those ith me at the tiem of appointing day, but i send earlier its not a problem to or eep with u, but u should submit ds260 confirmation as soon as possible.

even after issuance of visa on 18 nov my status is still changing , is it normal date changed 21 and then 24

can you please tell me did you send the barcode of DS260 in the attachment of that web form ? I mean on which we make enquiries? if yes did you get the confirmation email from the embassy that they got the application form barcode? thanks

A. New phenomenon that , i just called to Amex and lady told me that embassy will send me an email to receive my passport from amex.

Did anyone received such an email and when u receive the mail and date of visa what difference.

My husband went through Abu Dhabi and had no problems. Go through Abu Dhabi if you can.

How long after ur husband get his san and green card, is it faster to get san/ gc as compare to local us airports.

it is heard that if you go to USA via Au Dhabi then you immigration process is completed at abu dhabi clearance office of USA, whether it is good and faster comapre to POE at US like JFK.

Today fingerprint done,

Went embassy at 11:45 interview scheduled at 12:30, wait for almost 2 hours then called and given paper to read loudly and then sign, afterthat CO congratulated that you will receive ur passport in 2 weeks .but still status AP.

But amazing thing, No fingerprint taken although asked to CO but he said no need.

how long after new set of fingerprints visa is issued and in hand plz share any experience,

plz can anyone tell how to pay this fee 165 $,

and can i pay through my ban card with visa sign on it or through my paistani credit card visa/master,

Just wanted to remind everyone that medical and pictures do not have to be mailed unless they ask you.. You only need to email ds260 barcode and tell them that medical and pictures are also completed.

Give them 2 to 3 weeks to call you. When they call they will schedule for your oath. You would need to take ur medical and pic with you.

i was scheduled for fingerpints after submitting the docs on monday and received call on friday for next monday to be in embassy only with help of great GOD
