Hey Patienceoff is right send the original documents.....i had send true copies of marriage and birth certificate with my iv packet...ie photocopies stamped/sealed/signed by gazetted officer...they didnt accept that they want original and im waiting for docs to be sent from india.....I think they only accept true copies if signed and sealed by the marriage registrar for marriage certificate etc.

it also has seal of the govt office.. in my case it was i think electricity board of kerala state. is that considered certified or not ?? please advice

What is a certified copy ?.. i had the documents attested by gazzetted govt. officer in india. That wont work??

Hey Lotto.. I just received an RFE. apparently they want the original birth and marriage certificate. i had provided notarized copies of both but they dont accept that. ... i guess i have to wait for the docs to be sent from india.

2. who schedules the interview nvc or chennai consulate

3. and how is the medical done..what do they ask for it
