I sent my pack 3 four weeks ago on Friday, and when I called the USA embassy, London on Thursday it hadnt even been logged. I was told to send an email detailing that it had now been 4 weeks etc...hopefully you will not have to wait as long.

Being here by Christmas is very possible. It takes about 3 weeks for them to log your paperwork, and then the interview is typically scheduled for 3-4 weeks later. My fiance sent off his paperwork in early August, got his interview date in late August, had his interview in late September, and got his passport back 4 business days later. So, from the day he sent off his paperwork until he got his passport back: about 2 months. If yours is on a similar timetable, you should be able to travel by mid-December.

I sent back all my forms 4 days ago and i have had my medical, how long will i have to wait for the embassy to issue me with an interview date?

Would really love to be over there for Christmas.

Just wanted to add that it will take about 3 weeks after you send in packet 3 to get your interview date.

Aren't you sure that I just have to collect everything, go for medical and let them know that I have everything... Then they will issue us with a date??

Thats how it comes across in the letter.

I received a letter giving me my case number and to go on line, to fill and print out forms as well as collecting some info such as police report long form birth cert etc...

When will I get the date for the interview??

Just got an email from them. They're requesting some more evidence! and I even have a lawyer that charged a lot of money to handle the case! I shouldn't be getting these! so frustrating!

I just saw mine was touched yesterday! Does that mean I'll be hearing today or tomorrow? If I call them up will they be able to tell me the status?

Applied and received NAO1 April 15th and I'm still waiting for the NAO2. What's frustrating is that others from the same country, the UK, filed in May and they've already gotten their NAO2s. Should I be calling and inquiring? This process is so depressing! I miss my baby so much but I am going to see her on July 17th for two weeks!
