What? people turned away for paying visa fees in naira? Why in the world will the US Consulate specify that fees can be paid either in Naira or in Dollars, and yet turn Naira-paying people away?

One quick question: did you have to pay the visa app fee at the Consulate in Dollars or naira payment is acceptable. The email from the consulate says Naira is ok, but one person on this site said he/she was shocked that Naira payment was not accepted at the embassy. What was your own experience with payment, pls?

Can you please elaborate a little on what the consular officer meant by "Your fiancee had done a good job in proving your relationship,you must thank her a great deal". What exactly did you do before the interview to proof your relationship, since the CO did not ask your fiance to present any form of evidence.
