You would have recieved an RFE if there was a question about your finances. You submitted proof of support, Yes? The proof is Required and you CAN have a sponsor on that. As long as your income is above the required amount, you shouldn't have to worry, But they can ask Him about your finances at the interview.

I am sorry to hear about things for your buddy. I have heard other similar stories. Yes, she is there on a visa that is pending her marriage to him. Unless her Uncle knows of a way to keep her there, She must return to the phillippines at the end of the visa or she can be deported. You friend shouldn't marry her from the looks of things because it is a long road ahead and he could be dragging just the chain in the end, but it doesn't sound like she is worried.

If you really loved the person and wanted to get married, it wouldn't matter to you were your wedding was. You would say that, "It is what WE decided to do, but I would marry in either place if I have to because we love each other." Or " We will live in America so that is where we will marry." US congress could care less about your romance. You must meet each other before a K-1 visa, You do know this, Right? You can't put the cart before the horse. Decide which visa, then worry about the interview later.

Check online at the embassy website and it should list a lot of the information that you are requesting. Congratulations on the approval!

Congatulations on the approval! We were waiting on the embassy in Moscow to recieve the package and then they would send Elena a letter telling her the interview date and time and also instructions needed for the day of the interview. I'm thinking yours should be similar. I have given the package time to arrive and then e-mailed the embassy in Moscow and requested a notification of our interview date. They replied just the other day and now I can help make arrangements for Elena's interview. Good luck!!

Thanks all, I have figured out what I wished to do. I wanted to post this touch because it was activity on a holiday and I was amazed to see it. I would not have even known it even happened but Elena, my fiancee saw it and told me. The date has now changed to today and we are approved!!! I can't wait to talk to Elena and hear her reaction!
