Hey, some folks won't mind the added time that a Request for Evidence might cause. It took me about an hour to put together all that "crazy documentation". I would never advise anybody to take a six shooter to a gunfight with only two bullets.

I try to imagine what the inside of a USCIS office must look like. No matter how I try, the visions in my brain are never in color. It's always like some vintage photograph of the Department of Motor Vehicles, circa 1958. I can see Edna's beehive hair-do even now as I type this. The clatter of typewriters...I can hear them. A pile of petitions--which are stacked higher than even Edna's hair--sit next to her, and it's propped up by the mummified remains of former USCIS workers, perfectly preserved by some magical chemical process derived from decades of sipping very burnt, old coffee.
Yes, the time waiting is pushing me to places involving lots of padding, soothing voices, and a little shock treatment.
