  1. The document checklist says:

    If you have a dependent spouse or child(ren) who do not live with you, send:
    Any court or government order to provide financial support; and Evidence of your financial support (including evidence that you have complied with any court or government order), such as:
    a.Cancelled checks;
    b.Money and receipts;
    c.A court or agency printout of child support payments;
    d.Evidence of wage garnishments;
    e.A letter from the parent or guardian who cares for your child(ren).

    Does this pertain only to MY biological children or would it include my husbands chid from a previous marriage, who I listed as my stepchild in part 10?

  2. I married my US- husband in 2011 and want to file N-400, based on the 3 year rule, next month. Besides my husbands birth certificate, our marriage license, and the tax returns from the last 3 years, do I need to send any other evidence of our marriage?

    I just went through the ROC process a few months ago. Do I just resend all the evidence I included in there, like our last will, power of attorney, 401 K beneficiary, 2 years worth of bank statements and utility bills, photos, plane tickets from trips taken together, affidavits from friends, and so on? Or will the officer handling my case still have all of that in front of him? Or do I just send evidence I haven't sent before, like utility bills and bank statements from the last few months, as well as the birth certificate of our daughter who was born just after the ROC process?

    Also, for N-400, is the evidence for a legit marriage as important as it was for AOS and ROC? My application packages where over an inch thick for those and I am trying to avoid that this time around if not necessary.

    What do other people applying based on a 3 year marriage usually send?

  3. Ok, so on the uscis website, it says that they mailed out our approval on july 10. So far, we haven't received anything in the mail. We filed at Vermont and my fiance lives in TX. How long can it possibly take? Is that normal? Do you guys think we should call them and have it resend?

  4. I wanted to tell you of my story. I visited my fiance for 3 weeks in January and 4 weesks in april. I just arrived last Friday in Houston to stay another 8 weeks.

    I brought binding ties but nobody wanted to see them. I was asked what I am doing here (vacation), am I bringing something (just some German candy) and who will i be staying with (my fiance). Then he asked if my fiance was American, which I answered truthfully. I wasn't asked how long I would be staying, so maybe that was a plus. I got my stamps with no problem but I was pulled out after getting my bag and they checked it. Not sure if that had anything to do with the fact that I said I was visiting my fiance or not.

    I can understand everyones anxiety. I was so scared the whole flight that they wouldn't let me in. My advice is: bring binding ties and be truthfull with your answers.

  5. We are still waiting for NOA2 but I figured I would get them now. I have a few questions though. Hope somebody can help. I’m so confused with all the different websites and information.

    1. Are the vaccinations required for the K1 visa interview as for the AOS, or does AOS require more or different shots than K1?

    2. Do I need to tell my doctor to fill out the vaccination card in English? Or will the doctor at the medical before the interview give me another English document anyway?

    3. When I go to my medical, before the K1 interview, do I need to take Form DS 3025 with me and let the doctor fill it out? If so, where can I find that form? I read that u need it for AOS, but German doctors don’t give it to you???

    4. Does it matter when I get my vaccinations? I don’t want them to be out-of-date once I file for AOS? I read that the medical has to be no longer than 12 months before applying for AOS but does that count for the vaccinations too?

    5. I am 26 years old. Do I still need the HPV vaccination?

    6. Can anybody provide a current list of the vaccinations I need to get? I found so many different ones. I’m confused.

    7. I don’t understand the whole vaccination requirements based on the age. I’m 26 now. According to the list, a Polio vaccination for instance is only required up to age 17. So lets say I never got that shot, will I still need to get it now or will I only need to have the ones that are age appropriate for me right now? Same for Rotavirus, Hib, and PVC, hepatitis A, meningococcal, pneumoccocal

    8. If my DTP/DTaP/DT or Td/Tdap shot was more than 10 years ago, do I need to get a booster shot? Are there any other shots that might require a booster?

    9. Do I need a shot for pertussis? Some charts say yes, some don’t mention it.

  6. I was in the USA as a highschool exchange student in 2001/2002. They didnt remove the I-94 departure form from my passport when I left, and I didn't even know this was required. When I entered the US again on the Visa Waiver in 2004, they finally removed the I-94 when I was boarding the plane to the US.

    I have entered the US numerous times after that without any problems.

    My question is, do I need to mention this incident anywhere during the K1 process? Maybe there is a form on one of the documents where I need to check "Yes" instead of "No" because of this? Or can I just ignore this?

  7. Our I-129F was received bei VSC on July 6.

    I will be visiting my fiance for 2 months from August 20 to Oct 17.

    Since Vermont seems to be processing applications rather quickly right now, I think we might receive NOA2 while I am in the USA. So I might not be home in Germany when I receive Pack 3. Will that be a problem? How quickly will I need to reply to pack 3 and send off all the forms to the embassy? Or is there no time limit?

    This is kinda scaring me. Will I need to cancel my visit to make sure I'm home when pack 3 gets here? :(
