Sarah, congratulations on your progress! I am learning so much from your timeline (we are only a few days after you) and my fiance, Tilo, is completing his package 3 now and I will emphasize to him to schedule his medical. He is also very stressed out about how fast the visa will be approved as he had to give a 3-month notice as required in Germany and so things are very time sensitive for us and we hope the remainder of the process goes by quickly.

Hi Marena--Gratz on the progress! I never got the letter from the NVC, either; only the NOA2. I reached them by phone and they told me our case had been sent to the Frankfurt embassy. The packet 3 is the letter your fiance received. After he sends back the forms they request, they'll send him a letter telling him his interview date. Joern got his packet 3 last Saturday and mailed it Monday. Sarah-Jax did the same and she already received her interview date for 9/1. That's fast. (Yay, Sarah!) The three (I guess that's actually six) of us have very similar timelines.

Thanks so much for the clarification, guys! I swear that no matter how many times we read the timelines things seem to go differently for everybody and there is so much information at times that it's confusing (that and you are desperate to make things go smoothly and quickly!). Okay, so my fiance will fill out the forms and send back tomorrow. I hope all goes by fast.

Hi Guys,

Just an FYI, we received the NOA2 7/31 and the package was sent from the NVC 8/6- my fiance just received a letter in the mail asking him to fill out some forms online and return them. He will then be able to make an appointment for his interview in Frankfurt.

I have not received anything since the NOA2 but welcome the news! We are hoping to have everything done and the fiance visa on his passport in a month...

Would love to hear about other May filers experiences after the NOA2 and package 3 (I have not received it).

Hi Guys! Great news: this morning at 2am I received a text from USCIS letting me know there was an update. I checked and our application has been approved. I am so happy, especially given that it took them 3 months and my fiance and I agonized and checked the website every single day.

My NOA1 was May 10 and NOA2 was July 31.

Can't wait to receive the letter and send in whatever else needed in order to be together soon.

Good luck to all of you guys waiting- they are moving...slowly, but it will happen. Once you are approved you will see all the painful waiting will immediately go away and be forgotten. Now, next step. I hope these steps take no more than 2 months!

Great! Ellen, it is so nice to know that there are other people who are going through the same process we are. I see your fiance is also in Germany, right? My fiance is going to filing in the Frankfurt US consulate and I will let you know if we get any news or tips, etc.

Hi May filers! I did notice there are not a lot of us, so yes, hopefully that will speed the process later. I sent my packet early in the month and they received it May 10. Now, I am checking the website daily (I am sure we all are!). Let us know if anybody hears from USCIS.

Mi fiance and I will be seeing each other in about a week and are worried about something going wrong and immigration not letting him in- but I heard it rarely happens. I am truly hoping the process does take 5 months or less!!!
