Just came back from yet another trip to Nigeria,still waiting on the process..but its in God's hands.

So annoyed at people who don't understand stuff at their jobs, trying to get the social security card, they say he has to have a work authorization card...and lots of other stuff no one else seems to mention, ugh! Help God we need to get on with the AOS!

4 days until the interview, lots of praying, I am on an emotional roller coaster it seems, but my fiance is my hero, being wonderful and great. 5-19-2010 Sent I 129f 5-21-2010 Delivered and signed for Package at VSC 5-25-2010 Check Cashed 6-1-2010 NOA1 received in the mail 6-28-2010 NOA2 received 7-1-2010 NVC received but after 4 months of calling no hard copy sent 7-2-2010 NVC sent Package to Nigeria 8-10-2010 returned emailed provided all packets with time of interview and ins...

are you going as crazy as I am? We have 18 days-please give me as many tips as possible when you guys finish the interview. We just have no idea all the different things they may ask. From VJ we hear the good ones that pass-but I want to know all info possible. I am waiting for information from you-and praying everything goes well...for us both!

19 days to go until Ndubuisi has his interview, we are praying that they will just see our true love from all our efforts and make it an easy interview. Ndubuisi has packed up his whole apartment and right now is driving in a truck to his parents. Now the organizing, packing, and of course practicing for the interview!

So we know our/well his interview date, I have yet to get any letter from NVC, and I don't think there are "packets" given in Nigeria-as the mail system isn't great, he has gotten emails after emailing him-is this normal people?

Yay Nd has his Interview date! Nov. 19th, I will have my baby for Christmas, if all goes according to plan, praying to the Lord that His will be done and what is best for us will happen.

You are lucky to be able to be going out there to be there with your fiance, why are you not going a bit before-that would be my choice as Nd is nervous about getting all the questions right in the interview-all the facts about my family and such, so we are working through it, I just wish I could be there to support him and let him know it will all go well. Congrats to you too! What is the name of your fiance-as ours will be there at the same time, it might be comforting to let them kno...

Oh Sheesh the Gov't really screws with us as far as communication goes. I finally got a hold of a real person at NVC today-to be told they have had my packet for awhile, and it was sent July 2nd to the Embassy in Lagos, while my ammended NOA2 says it was SENT to NVC on July 7th? Oh well at least it is in the country with my baby and he has his Case # now!!!

thanks for the advice-turns out (after waiting forever to talk to a person) my packet was sent to the embassy in Lagos on July 2nd, even though my amended NOA2 says it was sent to NVC on July 7th, odd. But all good-thanks for the advice, it went way faster than we were expecting! Unfortunately Nigeria is slow. So we'll see...when the interview comes!

God must really be doing some work here...I tell you, I have been praying for those folk with NVC and USCIS...All this time NVC told me that they had returned my case to USCIS on JULY 9...now I am hearing that USCIS requested the case returned on JULY 9 but it was actually returned on JULY 16!!! So I have dutifully been calling everyday since the 12th...are you kidding me? God be with us all...Still trusting God's grand plan...

I am completely lost and confused of what is going on between NVC and USCIS for me, I thought it was at NVC but when I go to my "check my status" on the web, it says it is at USCIS and on their phone-can't get through with NVC on the phone. I am an emotional wreck and life has already handed me a bunch of personal problems on my end recently. I am trying so hard to trust in God, I just wish the people with our papers could be a little more detailed on what is going on. They have...

OMG my fiance's first name on the NOAs is spelled wrong, but correct on my filing!!!! Is it too late, did I screw it all up???

oh yes I called, and everything now has changed at the "check my status" deal from approval, to the beginning-but from what I read they only do background checks on me there-so his name being corrected wouldn't matter. It states on this site: For K-1 Visa's the NVC's role is to process the file, run initial background checks on beneficiary, repackage the I-129f and then send it to the recipient Consulate/Embassy.
