My son and I are planning to go home to the Philippines 6 coming June. I am a naturalized citizen and so is my son (K1/K2). My question is, do we both need to get a travel insurance?

Hello. I am a naturalized US citizen. Born from the Philippines and married to US citizen. I have a 17 year old son who’s also born in the Philippines with my first husband who’s a Filipino. My question is, will my husband need a Philippines visa or we can avail the Balikbayan program? Please and thank you. We plan to go home this June 2022.

We are planning to get my son his instruction permit but he was not born here in MO, we moved here from the Philippines in 2011. I gained my citizenship in 2018 which automatically makes my son a citizen as well. He has his US passport and passport ID. Will that be enough for his identity/LAWFUL STATUS? Anyone with the same case? Please help! Thank you.

Did you pay income tax in the Philippines while working in the USA when you were a green card holder? (you were a Philippine citizen then )

Once you become a naturalized american citizen, and plan to do a dual citizenship and I am working here in the USA, will I be paying income tax to the Philippines? Also, my son who is 13 and was born in the Philippines is also automatically a naturalized US citizen now, do i need to apply a separate application for his dual citizenship? To those who are a dual citizen, please help. I need enlightenment. Thank you.

I just brought whatever they stated on the appointment letter and the copy of my N-400 application just in case. The officer only asked for my ID, Green Card and Passport. Then he started asking about the information I have on my N-400 application, then ask how i met my husband. Then he made me read a sentence and write a sentence, which if i remember was "California has the most people." After that, he asked me the civic questions, and I answered all six correctly and he stop. Then he said " Very Good!" You passed the exam and the interview!" and I was like really? LOL. Then he just gave me instructions re: Oath Ceremony and that my son will be automatically be a citizen and just need to apply for Certificate of Citizenship. All in all, it was a very good experience. Just stay calm and be confident. Goodluck!

I filed under 5 year rule and was over prepared with marriage cert, divorce decree, 5 years of tax returns, passport photos. All i was asked to show were password, green card and drivers license. Don't stress about it, good luck to you!

I am planning to apply for dual citizenship this year for me and my son, who’s turning 18 this year. I was born in the Philippines and so is he, his biological dad is also Filipino.
I guess my question is, based on your experiences to those who are have dual citizenship, what are the pros and cons?
