  1. No good :(

    We need a co-sponsor.

When we submitted our affadavit of support the most recent year was 2008, we hadn't filed 2009 yet. So we just got the tax transcript for 2008 and my wife had made more than enough to meet the requirements. However at the interview they asked for the 2009 tax return which I didn't bring or submit because we hadn't made enough money (my wife was student-teaching as part of her masters in education requirement, so it didn't leave enough time for a job.). So basically the IO said that she needs us to get a co-sponsor, we are going to use my father-in-law/wife's dad. We have a follow up meeting with the IO next Wednesday. She said she anticipates being able to approve it, she just needs us to bring out 2009 tax return, my father-in-laws tax return and W-2's and a new I-864 for him. So hopefully next Wednesday we will be approved.

The finances were the ONLY aspect I was worried about, and that's what bit us in the butt.

Other than that though, everything went well. The lady was nice and matter-of-fact about everything. We brought our wedding album and some photos of us throughout the years. We brought originals of everything we submitted and a few more pieces of evidence of bonafide marriage which the IO made copies of. I told the IO about our travel plans for London on July 5 and how we were worried about not having the AP by then which is why she actually allowed us to schedule a follow up so soon, and she said next week if it's all good she will stamp my passport just in case the GC doesn't arrive in time, she said it will take about 10 days to get the GC once it's ordered though.

Sorry to hear! But at least you have a solution...you guys will be good by your next encounter with the IO! Good Luck again!

  2. Sorry I know this is off topic! --

I will say...I gave up meat about 6 years ago -- about the same time I started my locs...but since I am now 8.5 months pregnant...I've eaten eggs and turkey with this pregnancy! I don't know what happened but my baby girl obviously needs it!

MRStee try morning star products...I used to eat them back in the day even when I was still eating meat...very tasty.

  3. Nice to see you came into the light with the rest of us! Congrats on your interview. Just prepare yourself and you will do great! Best wishes and welcome to Visa Journey good.gifstar_smile.gif

Thanks...we used a non profit org to assist us with the doc/interview. They said we have to come to them to get prepped for the interview...not worried but you can never be too sure!

MRStee -- loving the flag!! Lion!!

  4. Hello all,

I've been lurking on this site for months and have yet to make a post, but today I'm compelled! My husband is here on a visitors visa and just recently went out of status in March..we submitted his I-485 and other docs on April 15th -- mailed along with my tax returns on tax day! And we're scheduled in Baltimore for an interview on 7/7!!

    Thanks for reading...feeling excited!
