Yay besa! I finally got my SSN name change processed which means I can get my driver's license tonight! Can 't wait!

How long it took for you to get the new SSN? I applied for a name change last week but havent received anything, I need that too in order to get my DL.

I know !!! same thing for me, I have a Touch in the I485 today but the message said mailed on the 9th of July.

I would think that it has a touch today because they are closing our file ? maybe !

My mail get delivered around 1200pm, so I'll let you know if I get something today.

I hope so too! I wish they delivered mail early here! It comes around 4 pm, and that's soooo late! I just checked my account online and I have a touch on AOS today! But it still says they mailed the thing on July 9th! Fingers crossed for both of us!

Hey Besa, don't worry. Mine was like that, I had two touches in 3 days and then nothing for a week until I got that post production touch on friday. It will be soon

I got the same thing, It says on July 9th we maield you a notice of Approval, I would think that means my GC was mailed ?

Hopefully, that means is in the mail today !!!

My Interview Review : AOS MIAMI,FL

Well guys, my interview went pretty smooth.

Interview was set up for June 28th at 7:15am. My husband and I got there around 7:00am, we went trough security, which was pretty easy and smooth, and then went to check in, they gave us our ticket number and we went to the waiting room.

At:8:15am ( or so ) We were called, our officer looked pretty intimidating at first and we followed him to his office.

One we got there, he made us do the Oath and we sat. I had prepared a Folder with all my papers, I brought 2 albums, my weddign album and our trips album. The first think he asked was what day did we marry, I gave him the date and then he started going trough his file. After a few minutes of silence he started asking for my Birth Date and address, just making sure that he had the right info. Right after that he started explaining that I was going to get my Green Card Conditional for 2 years because we havent been married more than 2 years yet. At that point I said to myself so this means I'm approved already? It turns out yes ! He made us sign all the forms and then he stamped a big APPROVED in my file and said the best words I been wanting to hear: WELCOME TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. He asked me to turn in my passport, work permit and I-94, I gave him everything and then he stamped my passport and he told me that he was stamping my passport just in case I needed to travel already. Then we started chi-chatting for about 15 minutes and he told me that I should received my card in a few weeks, but that we the stamp in my passport I already have my residency.

Im so happy !

Got my EAD CARD TODAY !!!

I'm going to wait for my GC to arrive so that I can get my name changed in my DL and SS.

Well everyone, Im oficially a resident of the United States of America !!!!

Went for my interview this morning and I got approved and I also got a stamp in my passport.

I already received a TEXT msg that says that my card was alerady ordered today.

Thank you God !!

My Interview is on Monday at 715am, Im so ready to do this !

This weekend I'm going to go over all my docs & albums just in case.

Cant wait for Monday !!!!!!

I have to complain too, no touches on my EAD since May 10th.

I have my interview on the 28th of June so Im happy for that, I guess Im just gettin impatient because is the last part of thsi journey, but always grateful !

Can I complain about my Driver's License and SSN name change now?? I went to SS office to change my name to my married name in April and they couldn't verify the name change until USCIS approves. I went this morning with my brand new EAD and they can't verify my EAD either! I have to wait AGAIN! In the meantime, no DL until I get name changed on SSN! I'm pulling my hair out as we speak! There is practically no public transport here and if there is one, I haven't seen it! So if I get invited for a job interview, how am I going to get there? Hubby works!

I was wondering what was the process of changing your name? Because dont the documents from immigration come with the unmarried name?

I got my interview notice yesterday, what a surprise !!!!

Interview in a Month, so I guess I wont worry about my EAD, The interview it's so much better !!!

June 21st in Mt. Laurel for me, I totally thought it'd be in Newark seeing as they sent me to Elizabeth for bm.

I haven't even gotten my EAD yet! This came as a total surprise!

I dont know about you guys but I'm so anxious about the whole process, I have all my NOA'S and my biometris were done too, But I find myself checking the USCIS website like 3 times a day !! Everyday that passes I feel the hope that Im going to get an email with good news but nothing yet

I know it is just 1month since I filed, so in reality everything has been going on pretty fast, but I really cant wait !!!!

Gosh Im going back and forth about it. I called USCIS and she says "based on our reports, ASC offices don't allow walk-ins. But you could try to do that the Wednesday after your Biometrics." So I'm a little confused

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TRY FOR A WALK-IN? WHY ARE THEY SAYING THAT OFFICES DON'T ALLOW IT?
