  1. Yeah, I'm not sure what the deal is with the embassy. My only idea would be that maybe the holidays are slowing things down over there. Maybe people going on vacation to visit there families and what not. I'm not sure how it is usually, but its now been over one month and we still have not got anything. They also sent us a letter around the 28th of Nov. stating that we would be recieving the visa soon via courier. That was it.

  2. Hello, I know i have made this same post in here once before but I got little information about it. I am not sure what I need to do now, but my fiancee's visa was issued on NOv. 8th 2010, according to the Department of State. Her interview was on Oct. 18th, and she was then put into AP. I have emailed the embassy and have not got any response from them. Dos told me it is out of there hands now and it is up to the Embassy to get the visa to her. Any ideas on what I should do? just wait? SO frustrating knowing the visa has been issued but it will be one month tomorrow and we still have not received it. Thanks VJers

  3. Well my fiancee went to the Am express station in Peshawar, Pakistan today and they called the embassy as she was unable to get through after calling so many times, and the embassy told the clerk there that it usually takes some time for printing and issuing of the visa to the beneficiary and to be patient and she shall recieve it soon. Ugh, I just want to know she will be getting the visa by a certain time so I can start making arrangements to pick her up. Darn

  4. Hello guys, so I just got off the phone with the DOS, and they have informed me that my fiancee's visa was issued on Nov. 8th, 2010. She was put into AP on Oct. 18th, 2010. Any idea on how long it takes to recieve the passport after the visa has been issued. It has been three weeks now since it was issued and still nothing from the embassy. Dos told me that they are responible to send you your visa now, everything is done, and we can no longer answer any further questions. Im glad its issued, but what now?

    Thanks

  5. "Dear Sir/Madam

Please wait and applicant will receive passport(s)/visa packet(s) soon via courier.

It has now been over a month in AP for us. I sent the embassy an email 3 weeks to be patient and that they could not give me an approximate time on how long we would be in AP. Now this. This definetly seems some what positive, dont you think?

  6. Hellow, I was just wondering how often during the administrative processing are people denied? What do they check during this time? Nobody will give me any kind of information at DOS. How do i know if there is a mistake in the paperwork? How do i know if there is not enough evidence proving our relationship? Ugh, its just so frustrating not getting any answeres during this process, no updates or anything. Any Advice? ANy other fellow VJers going through the process? How long? Any info will be greatly appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Adam

  7. I dont mind waiting...but I wish I could just know that the visa will be dealt in two months. I mean they told us that we were approved and paperwork was correct, took her passport, but then said you will have to go through AP. A lady at the interview told my fiancee it would take 4-6 weeks, and someone also told her it will take 2-3 months. But when I call the DOS, they tell me there is no timeline and dont give me any information what so ever regarding the process.

  8. hello fellow VJers....Unfortunately on the 18th of October my fiancee from Peshawar, Pakistan was put into Administrative Processing. It will be four weeks on Monday and the status has not changed according to the Department of State. I am having a hard time dealing with it. I guess my expectations were just soo high. I gave them everything I needed and extra proof of the ongoing relationship. Being a female, I was just so sure she would avoid the dreaded AP. Is there anything I can do now to speed up the process, or are we just in limbo for god knows how long. Any advice from people who have gone through AP, or going through Ap would be greatly appreciated. Are visas often given after the AP process? Was is the success rate? =(

  9. question, my fiancee had her interview in Islamabad on the 18th of Oct. and was given a green piece of paper stating refused for administrative processiing. I called Dos and they told me the interview went well, and I do not need to submit any documents, and that it is also a good sign they kept her passport. Would Dos be the one to let us know if there are any documents left to be submitted? I just dont want to have to wait throught the AP and then find out in two months that there is a document they need. Any help on this matter would be appreciated.

  10. Yeah good luck on the interview....I dont know what could have put her into AP. I gave them everything they needed and more. I guess they are just getting a little more tough on any pakistani (male or female). My fiancee is also from Peshawar, and its definetly a high risk city in Pakistan. I wish you the best of luck getting through without an AP. What is the normal procedure for someone who has inactive TB, any idea?

  11. Also, do they usually give the paperwork back that was sent with the packet 3? Im just really trying to figure this thing out. I thought it was normal for men in Pakistan to go into AP, but did not think it happened very often for women. I called DOS, and a lady there said exactly that it looks like the interview went well, and that she has been approved but unfortunately she will have to go into something we call AP(administrative Processing) and she said there was no timetable for that. Told me to try back once a week. The piece of paper that my fiancee got(light green colored) said temporarily refused for AP, and could take 2-3 months. What the lady told me at DOS sounded a lot better then that piece of paper but I dont know who I should believe or what to do. I knew it could happend, but did not expect it too. Thanks everyone for the help

  12. Well, my fiancee went for her interview today, and we were just so sure that we would get it. Paperwork and everything was correct, and the interviewer even told us this. He said that all your paperwork is correct and you and your fiance do not need to send in any more paperwork but you will have to wait 2 -3 months. He then gave my fiancee a green piece of paper stating that it will take at least 2-3 more months for further processing, but another lady along with the interviewer said it would take 2-3 months. I dont know what to do now, my heart just sunk when my fiancee told me what happened. I had plans of going in december with my family that will now have to wait. Any ideas on what to do next, anyone I can contact for more information about this? Thank you so much
