  1. so i filed for my mom- I-130

in the beginning i sent a check for 420$ to US Department of Homeland Security

then i paid online 88$ for AOS and 230$ for IV...

so now do i need to pay another 420$ for Immigrant visa application processing to NVC,right?

but neither of us got a bill from NVC, so do i just wait for NVC to send me a bill?

and her case is already at the US consulate in her country and she has an interview date...

    thank you in advance!

  2. They didn't really ask any questions. Both of the ladies just chatted really. So I don't think your Mum should be worried. I did a review on the London Embassy review (think it's the only one for an IR5 so it should be easy to find) which you might find useful.

I took some photos but they weren't needed.

Good luck to her, but I don't think she will need it. Provided all the documentation is there and your mum hasn't been denied access to the USA then she'll be fine.

    Val

    hi,Val!

can i ask you a question please

did you and your husband have two different case #s or you had just one for two of you?

the reason im asking is that i sent two cases for each of my parents at the same time, but for some reasons, they were separated , meaning my mom has already her interview date scheduled, while my dad's case is still at NVC.....

they wanted to have interview together but i dont know if its possible now....

    thanks

  3. I think it is possible. Are you the only petitioner for both of your parents?

Yes I'm , but the thing is that since they have different cases, for some reason my mom already has an interview date, but my dad's case is at Nvc still...

So I don't know if it's possible to wait for my dad's interview date while keep rescheduling my mom's date and then when my dad gets his date, to make them go interview on he same date

Am I being clear or is it confusing?

  4. In Part 6 #4 you mark that you are unemployed and in #5 you put 0. Your husband's info and income is listed in #6a, b, and c. List his income again for #10 and check off #11. You list his current income in #6c and #10, not his past income from the taxes. Check off #13 and fill in 13a, a1, b, b1, c, and c1 with the total income from your last 3 years tax returns that you filed jointly with your husband.

Your husband lists his current income on #10 of his I-864A and puts the total income amounts from the last 3 years of taxes on #11, same as you put for #13 on your I-864.

    Jay-Kay, you are awesome!!!

thanks for taking your time and detail the answers!!

i checked what i put in those forms with what you wrote and it matched!

    thanks again!!!!!

  5. First, there is a new I-864 form version. There is no #25 on the new form version. You need to download the latest version as no previous editions are accepted. http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=b70f8875d714d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

On the new form version, the tax info will be in Part 6 #13a, b and c. On the I-864A for your husband, the tax info is entered in #11. Those are not where your incomes go. Those are where the incomes from your tax returns for the last 3 years go. Total income can be found on line 22 of the 1040. Total income on an IRS tax return transcript is usually found on page 2 at the end of the 'Income' section. Have you not been filing jointly as married? You would have the same tax returns that way.

THank you,Jay-Kay, for a detailed answer!!! yes, i downloaded a new version of I-864.

yes my husband and i filed taxes jointly.

I guess i was more confused about my personal income and tax return info....

as i thought since i dont work i should have 0 income as well as i will have in federal tax return income....

so please, tell me that im doing it right:

in PART6- item5- "my current individual annual income"- i should put 0

then item 6c- current income of my husband - i put whatever he makes

and then 13A,13B,13C- i put his income as well since we filed taxes jointly

    please,please,please,tell me i right....or not?

thank you so much for all your help!!!!

  6. You have no income, so you put zero. The I-864 is only about you. The I-864a is about your husband.

    thanks,aaron2020,for your respond!

so i will put 0 in all tax questions on I-864

and then my husband will put his income on I-864A

but i still should mark the checkbox that "I have filed a Federal tax return for the past three year"?

and then attach copies of them?

and then when my husband will fill I-864A- should i also include those copies of taxes, or just 1 set of copes will be enough?

thank you again and sorry for so many questions!!!

  7. hellO!please,someone advice!

im about to start filling in I-864 for my parents and of course i have questions.

So when i filed I-130 some time ago, they were living at one address, now when its time to fill in I-864 they moved to another address.

What address should i put in this I-864 form for them? the old one or the new one?

Does NVC really care where they live now if im the one who gets all the correspondence now?can i just use the same address i put in I-130?

    thank you in advance!!

  8. please,someone advice!

so couple months ago i filed I-130 for my parents and they lived at one address at that time, which i showed in I-130.

So now they moved to another city of the same country , so when the time will come to send DS 230, do i need to show this new address or an old one?

if i show the new address, won't it cause any confusion or discrepancies?

    what should i put?

    thanks in advance!

  9. Form I-130 is Petition for Alien Relative.

You are filing this form, petitioning for your parents.

Section E of form I-130 is Signature of Petitioner, You.

If you had someone else complete this for you i.e. your attorney, then that person should sign in section F. Petitioner should not sign section F.

You should sign section E. Your parents should not sign anything on I-130.

Dang...so i should have signed section E instead of F....

    thank you,WorldTravelers, for your respond!

so should i just put N/A in section F?even in "print name and address"?

  10. I filed for my mother last december 12, 2012 and I got approved this march 1,2013 thru NBC. I wonder what's next step for me as her petitioner I am her daughter USC. Please help me you guys what's my next step. Thank you so much.

    Beth65,congratulations on your mom's approval!

i just have a quick question- if you prepared I-130 for her, did your mom sign section E or you put N/A and you signed section F?

    Thanks!

  11. Real quick question!

so as I'm filing I-130 for my parents:

    in section E- can i put N/A?

and then in section F- my name and signature?

    thanks in advance!

The reason why I'm asking is that i got a notice from USCIS stating that my signature in section F is not valid signature for this purpose.....

I thought my parents don't need to sign I-130 since I'm the one who prepares their forms...

Please, someone advice! do you have to get your parents signature on I-130 as well???

  12. Please,someone,advice!

I'm currently outside of USA,but going back to US at the end of April.

I applied I-130 for my parents in Jan. i got an email today saying:

On February 19, 2013, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN as undeliverable.

SO my question is- does someone has to sign in when you get any packages from USCIS or NVC? can't the postman just put it in the mail?

I'm just trying to understand what could be the reason of the notice to be undeliverable as i checked my mail address on the applications and i put the correct one where i live in USA.....

    thanks in advance!

  13. I sent my parents petitions together but they weren't adjudicated at the same time. Have you tried checking their case status online (uscis site? The petitions are processed separately.

    Thank's for a reply,let-it-be!

i checked USICS site and it says "they received THIS petition and bla bla bla".....SO i guess they talk about only one of them.

So now my question is,does it mean my parents will have different interview dates?that will be so inconvenient!!

  14. So I'm little confused,please,someone advice!

so some time ago i sent I-130 for both-my mom and dad as one package in one envelope.

then i got an email from USICS saying that my case has been sent to NVC.

but it wasn't mentioned, was it only one of the petitions of or both of them?

When they get petitions for both parents- do they review it as a package or separate??

    thanks in advance!!!

  15. so i think i might be overthinking but i will feel better if i ask.

So im preparing docs to go with I-130 for my parents, and as my last name changed,I'm sending a copy of my marriage certif.

there is a residence address shown on it,but its the old address and we have a new address now.

so my question is if i need to attach any document showing my present address since thats the address i used to fill in I-130.....or they don't look at that point?

    thank you!!!!

  16. my mom also did not have birth certificate but in our country, they have a national population commission that can attest to the birth of citizens. So if you have just department in your country, apply for a birth attestation or any government issued document confirming your father's birth date. if not he shd swear an affidavit stating his name, place and date of birth and also have an older family member swear another to add support.

thank you, ndu26 ,for all your answers!!i really appreciate it...will tell my dad what you suggested
