The IO may have only one comment on your documents; couldn't you have any carrier other than T-mobile their coverage sucks... LOL jk my friend take it easy,,,, your preparation is wonderful I think you will be issued the GC while you are in the office with the IO

Jannah, manipulative people drive me batty. I really cannot read what you just wrote and not want to call USCIS. The fact that he did this to you and another woman just pushes my buttons. I NEED HIS NAME, seriously I'm not playing!!! I will call after you go through your interview and receive the GC with your current husband and "inform” them what he has done. It's not right that people abuse the system so blatantly and get away with it. I understand that you do not want to cause anyone any pain, but DID HE CARE ABOUT THE PAIN HE WAS CAUSING YOU AND YOUR CHILDERN? NO!!! It’s people like him that make it so hard for people like us to go through this whole immigration process.

"I'm sick of people saying my wife (who, really, is more intelligent than you ever will be) is working illegally. She works at one of the most prestigious medical schools in the country, and graduated from Harvard. So shut the hell up. "
So if you expect respect, then respect others! Don't tell anyone to shut up when you are asking them for help.
There was no point of writhing such things!

No offense dude but she (vanessa) simply offered "options" not "answers". So you takin it personal is very ridiculous and un-called for. Her advice had nothing to do with education-level, achievements or accolades but simply were based on the issues you presented. Your rude responses were not necessary as anyone who would take the time to offer you advice would probably mention some of the same issues she listed. She helped, and your remarks to her would probably hinder another person from replying in efforts to not get the same results.

Its a gamble, but maybe your right, maybe waiting for the whole thing and then submitting it all together could have taken later then getting a RFE and submitting it now. Well be sure to go to a civil surgeon who just doesn't want to rip you off and take your money. I initially went to two and was surprised how much they differ. One ignored the vaccination list I had from my country and insisted on getting everything done. Whiile the other one said my vaccinations were fine and just signed off on them. I just did a print out where I translated all the vaccinations I had done to English to make it clear for him.

I cant believe some people get angry and criticize someones reply so harshly and rudely.
I agree working illegally does not make you stupid in any way. We are just trying to help each other and trying to get as much info as possible to be as helpful as we can.
If someone is soo smart and condescending and knows everything then why the hell are they posting questions?
If you are soo much smarter than everyone else on here than why are you wasting your time and OUR time here?
JUST FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF!!!!
I agree, that posting all available options is smart because it is an open forum and maybe someone else can learn from this if they are ever in a similar situation.
So NEVER call anyone anyone's response or them stupid because obviously they took their time to reply and try to help you which you apparently don't deserve.
This is a stressful process but venting at someone who is only trying to help is not right.
I would like to say that I truly appreciate the time anyone takes to respond with each and every response trying to be helpful.
Someone who doesn't care would just read it and not respond at all.

I am thoroughly confused by this. I am assuming your wife is the immigrant and you are the USC.
NOWHERE on the I-864 does it mention student loans. NOWHERE is this taken into account. My husband as well would have been in the negative if we took that into consideration but you don't. It goes DIRECTLY from your tax return and unless your student loans affect your income ON the tax return (thus stating you (or your wife) earn negative funds) then your lawyer has no idea.
So, the only things I can think of for your RFE are:
1. Your wife is working illegally (in which case her income doesn't count)
2. You forgot to include the last 3 years tax returns (or transcripts) for your wife
3. You forgot to include your own tax returns (transcripts)
4. On page 15, you forgot to list your wife in 24b and forgot to tick box 24e and enter your wife's name there
5. You forgot to add your income (24a) to your wife's income (24b) in box 24c.
6. You completed box 27 because you completed an I-864A for your wife when you shouldn't have
Hope that gives you some ideas. I honestly think you should seek a second opinion from another lawyer because I've never heard of student loans mattering and they certainly didn't/don't in my case.
