You can tell your situation or anything related with your husband work the embassy is the one which needs to approve it....The file was shipped yesterday and your case doesn't need to be complete if you have no sent more papers the thing is that if your embassy approves it the case is completed in your country otherwise if you sent all the papers NVC will put all of them in a file and forward but it takes about 1 weeks and 2 days in order to do it.

Yes, What I recomend you is to request expedite and if you have time you can call the embassy where your interview is going to be and let them know or talk to officer .....when i called the embassy in Peru , the lady told me that they usually approve any case that they don't have any problem. You can tell them or your husband and explain your situation ....what i did was to scann only few prescription from my mom's doctor with some test and results she had high cholesterol....you can do something about it.

Tell you that I sent the DS something i don't remember the form ....biographical part and the authorization from me to me , so I spelled wrong my mom's last name so i sent inmediately the copy of her passport and they changed it inmediately....I am pretty sure you will be fine!!! You just explain the situation ...put your case number in the Subject and then explain everything. Good luck and let me know ok?? and what can i recomend you to request expedite your case you can do it i did and the embassy where my mom is going to have her interview accepted inmediately.

Yes, you can explain everything and attach your husband's passport biographical part and send this information to nvcinquiry@state.gov.

Don't forget your case number as and the TITLE petitioner name and date of birth and beneficiary too

Hi fellow VJers... can someone with good heart help me with my current situation... my hubby's affidavit of support was mailed last june, that was before he went to boat, currently his a fisherman working in alaska... we waited for 2months only to find out that his aos aint reach NVC, so we need to send it once again. the whole process is such a big stressed, gathering all the needed docs and sending the form in alaska just to have my hubby's signature is such a big delay and stressful. my sister inlaw was incharge of filling up the forms,finally we were able to send it once again and in the system by august 10... but as i was reviewing the copy my sister in law sent to me...i was disgusted finding he wrote wrong entry in my hubby's burthyear.... i feel like im gonna pull my hair now what am i gonna do again guys? do you think i might get another RFE again for this or they would just focus in his ability to sponsor me? got no problem with his income, he made $55000 for 4household size, is it possible to just have it corrected by phone? my ds230 was approved and they have his birth and marriage certificate as there reference.... thinking of another RFE is such a nightmare to me...just when i think the waiting is over but yet still hard as it was.... i know all of us here wants to be with there love ones the soonest possible time especially this upcoming christmas season... havent spent christmas with my husband for 3 years of marriage and just when i thought this would be my chance, but still soo hard. thank you soo much to my VJ family

Actually if there is something wrong with the information you can explain it by email and attach a copy of his passport biography part and you will be FINE!! Good luck

I am so excited today i went to NVC payment and i got a message on red letters SIF and i talked to Operator and yes the case was completed so i don't know how long it takes to be forwarded?? am i going to get an email from NVC telling me that the file was forwarded?

That's some big doodoo on yer casefile, though -

hopefully it'll all get 'wiped off' once it's left NVC on it's way to PERU.

It sounded ridicolous for me it will take about 6 to 8 weeks just to put the file all together and no approved yet just ready to send to PERU...I really don't think so it will take this long....cross fingerssssssssssss one more time.

I would like to share with all you my experience with NVC. I requested the expedite request on July 16th , however NVC sent this request one on that day no answer another one on 22 july no answer until i called the embassy in Peru and i was told that they never got that request i called back NVC and let them know what was going on...The officer was no in her position and they had to send the email to different email address they didn't want me to accept it every time i called NVC they said and supervisors used to say we know how to do our job and we are sending the email to the Embassy. Finally I called and talked to supervisor and he finally understood my position and told me that he was going to investigate and the embassy accepeted the request.

NVC called me today and the supervisor Sofia told me that it was approved by the Embassy in Peru , but the problem is that DS230 were in customes for 1 month and they finally got on july 23th and the file will no be ready until 6 or 8 weeks it doesn't mean that it will be approved the NVC because they will only forward the file and be approved in Peru....but that longgggggggggggggggggggg will take for NVC to have my file ready with no approval to PERU. Can you believe it???

She also told me that AOS was reviewed and everything was ok since i didn't send the pay stubs and employer letter i sent them out in case i get RFE but it makes longer the process to put all the papers together even with the expedite approval from the Embassy.

My AOS was already reviewed on july 21th with no problems however i sent more papers as employer letter, pay stubs and they were no needed but they are under reviewed since i sent them out..many cases in june.

You are right. I didn't read anything further about what kind of documents we were going to need since I came under visa K3 i had everything done in Peru when i had my interview there however this petition is for my mom and they request for civil documents to be sent to NVC i didn't know . I was waiting for NO2 as well when my aunt came to USA and my mom sent some staff for me i should have asked her to have all the civil documents done while NO2 was approved because i waited about 1 month in customs to be released them. I never took this long for envelopes or things my mom used to send to me. Anyway We are almost there and soon, we all hope.

Hello I sent mine by june 16th and it was in the system by june 23rd, My mom sent the IV package by June 26th and arrived at NVC by July 23rd and it was in the system the same day it seemed kind of weird for me, what i did was to paste the USPS track information by email and forward to them since they sent an email also july 23th with a check list letter missing DS230, but they have no told me so far if the AOS was approved or no..They keep telling the same since it takes 6 to 8 weeks but it is almost there.

Thank you! I did call them and they told me that the NVC sent a request to the Embassy in Peru today again and the file was ready to go over thereeeeeeee!!! It means that this time they did send the email that i was asking them to send...I don't know I hope it is like that.

I just emailed to the Embassy in Peru to ask if they got that email, but the operator told me that the file was ready to go.

What is the DOS hotline?? Finally I talked to a supervisor in the NVC who was able to understand my frustration and he asked me the email address where they were supposed to send the request but he was going to investigate first at the same time the embassy in Peru told me that the officer did send this information to the NVC letting them know that she was going to leave that post and don't send emails to her.

Hopefully I can hear soon from them and our case was approved and send to Peru, because What i said to the supervisor probatly i am no the only peruvian in this situation and maybe there are more and calling them all the time.

I would like to share with all you my experience about requesting expedite. I was told that the request was going to go to the Embassy inmediatelly on July 16th and when i called the Embassy in Peru they told me that they had no gotten anything i called back to NVC and i was told that they could tell me their procedures so I called the Embassy in Peru again and thy adviced me to send the request to an especific email address because if they had sent to the consul he was gone for more than one week and nobody checks his email.

I called the NVC and they told me that they have no gotten any answer from Peru at the same time the operator in Peru told me that the request is sent by mail first and then when they have the case they will schedule an appoitment which is completed different from what i was told.

So right now I am just dissapointed because if they are no getting the request i think NVC should do something to fix it becaues The Embassy in Peru they are completely fine by scheduling the appoitment and approve the case.

Any comment? let me know ,

I got a letter last friday telling me that they were missing DS230 documents and send the form with the cover letter. However they got it the same day by the post office since all the papers stayed in customers for almost one month. The letter stated that they already had the AOS. I sent the AOS package on June 16th.

This is what i was told by the supervisor. The cases were being review quickly but lately they have been getting many cases and taking longer the process.

Hello I got last friday check list for all the civil documents and DS230 missing. Actually they were in customs for almost one month and finally they got it on friday at the same time it was updated the same day in AVR they had gotten DS230.

My point is since they already have my AOS it means that AOS was ok? it has been approved? the letter said that they already have AOS for one month.

I requested expedite my mom's file and i called the embassy in peru to make sure that they had gotten the request and they told me that they didn't have anything in their email address and the operator told me that the official might have this but he had been gone for more than 1 week and she gave me the right email address to send the request so i called NVC back and i talked to Supervisor she told me that they did request and that they have to follow the procedures however she couldn't tell me if it is sent by email or mail ...anybody know??

Finally DS230 arrived at NVC after 24 days. The expedite request has no gotten by the Embassy in Peru. The lady told me the consul has been gone for one week and he might probably has the email , she gave me another email address and then i called back the NVC and I talked to Supervisor she told me that they have to follow some procedures and she couldn't give me any information how the request works.

Hello Everyone I would like to share a little with all you. I requested expedite my mom's case and when i talked to Supervisor last friday he told me that it was going to be sent inmediately well i called few days later and yes they did. To make sure about it i was sending messages to the embassy from my country and they told me that they didn't have any file yet so I called the embassy in my country and they told me that they don't have any problem to expedite files at all but unfortunately they hadn't gotten anything from NVC.

It seems that they sent the email to somebody else the official who doesn't work in the Embassy for about one week ago and nobody is able to check it. They just gave me the rigth email address today and i sent an email to the NVC attention supervisor Sue.

I don't know if somebody is in the same situation but always make sure and talk to people from your embassy.

They don't give me any reason, my mom is old and she sent the package through registered mail and no express mail....express mail does have this service in customs that they can check in their system. I can check mine in USPS online but it says it is in custom and that is and it doesn't have the same service than express mail.....ANyway I talked to Supervisor last friday and i requested expedite the case and then they sent the email the same day that i requested it at the same time i sent an email to the Embassy and i told about my mom's conditions. She has very high cholesterol due to depression this is why she was told by the doctor....it makes her cholesterol goes up when she doesn't even eat food to make it high......The Embassy replied my email from Peru and they told me that as soon as they get the file from my mom they will schedule an appoitment so i don't know it means that they approved it already today or no....but the Supervisor from the NVC told me that if the civil documents arrive when they send the file to Peru they will also forward those papers otherwise she can get new ones and have them ready when she has her interview and the NVC will no wait for them...I hopeeeeeeee everything goes well.

Hi!! I talked to Supervisor last afternoon and she told me that it is taking longer because there are many cases. It used to take few weeks to update but now it seems that it will be taking those weeks. I sent my package out from 16 of June and received by NVC on June 23th it is still under review...but sometimes it is just luck. By the way my mom sent all the civil documents from Peru and I called USPS here and USPS in Peru and when i go to track the number it shows package is in customs from june 29th at the same time NVC got a package on July 2nd that is so weird because i am thinking of having my mom to request again all the original documents from Peru and send them by Fedex, DHL or UPS....I have such a headache right now at the same time i requested to expedite the case because my mom is very sick and is under treatment right now.

Please anybody has had any problem with customs for civil documents??? we can send civil documents with no problem or there is any type of restrictions? my package is on hold since june 29th and has no been delivered to NVC so I am wondering if i can still wait for it...claim? or have my mom who is sick to get all the documents again and pictures and everything? and send by Fedex or HL UPS?

Hello Everyone I has been wondering if anybody has sent civil documents from Peru to USA or any other country from post office no fedex, no UPS? because My package is in customs from June 29th and it has no been delivered and it is taking too long for NVC to approve our case with out no those papers...Any help??

Hello Everyone!! I was told if I know that I am missing any papers before getting a RFE send everything out. I am no sure but it seems that i read the other day somebody who didn't send a birth certificate from his sponsor. MY husband is my sponsor shall i send a birth certificate of him???
