Hi all! I have always listed my parent's address as my home address in NY. However, I have been living in RI for the past two years because I am in graduate school. I rent and have moved each year. Should I continue to put the address in NY on all the forms or my most recent address in RI?

Hi all,
It appears, according to the instructions, that only two completed signed copies of the form (one for petitioner, one for beneficiary) are needed, however I have been through this process before, in 2010 (never thought I'd be doing it again!) and I see that I submitted 4 copies of each person's form. How many are needed now? Thanks!

In 2010 my fiancé and I went through this process and had a K-1 visa approved. However, our relationship ended after he received the visa and he never came to the US on the visa/got married to me. I never thought I would go through this process again, but as luck would have it, I met another non-American and alas, here I am! The date of the first I-129F petition is 06/2010. It does not appear that I would need to fill out a waiver given the guidelines (filing of two or more K-1 visa petitions at any time in the past or previously had a K-1 visa petition approved within two years prior) however, I was wondering if I should fill one out to be on the safe side. I'm sure this is not a common occurrence so any advice would be helpful!

Hi!
I grew up in NY but am currently in graduate school in RI. I listed my address on the I-129 form as my home address in NY because I move apartments every year that I've been in school. The hope is for my fiance to come and live with me in RI when he gets here, but since I'm moving at the end of the month and am not sure that the next place I will live will be for a year, should I just put my home address in NY as the place he will be living? My parents still live there.
Thanks!!!!

That's what I'm afraid of...thanks for the advice

Yeah, that's our dilemma...I thought maybe if he shows he has a return ticket and that the visa doesn't expire for another 3 months that it would be ok, but I guess you never know what they'll say at border control...and we don't want to mess anything up with the visa. I just wasn't sure what the exact regulations are for travel when you have received the visa. Thanks though!

My fiance has received his K1 visa in the mail which is valid until the end of April. However, my brother is getting married in February which is too soon for my fiance to come here for good....does anyone know if now that he has the visa, if he is able to enter the states for a couple of days without having to stay and start the process???? Please help!

I am confused by this question: I do/do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3. On the example form they put "n/a (K1 visa process for permanent residence). SO...what should be put as an answer there. What did other people put?!

Sent in 35! I had more but I thought that would be sufficient to show that we really are a genuine couple...got approved in 3 weeks. Don't know if that had anything to do with it but I did not want there to be any doubt in their minds! Good luck!

My fiance went to request his vaccination records and when his GP pulled his chart his sheet was blank. They told him to request it from a specific hospital that might have them, but when he phoned them they said that they don't keep records past 25 years (my fiance is 35). I know he does not need to have his records technically until he applies for adjustment of status, but nonetheless this will be an issue eventually. Has this ever happened to anyone before? Will he need to be re-vaccinated?
I found this on the US Embassy London site:
"If you do not have a vaccination record, the panel physician will work with you to determine which vaccinations you may need to meet the requirement." So I suppose this does happen frequently?

Right, I have no dependents. Let's say for some reason they don't think I have enough money to support him....will they just request someone else (like my parents) to fill out the form or will the whole application be rejected? That's what I am concerned about?

I am stressing out over this form! I am 24 and am living at home (so I don't have a mortgage or any property of value) I make about 32K a year and have only a few thousand in savings. Is this enough for the Affidavit of Support?

The petitioner is the US citizen.
Thanks

On number 39 the form asks for name and address of Petitioner is this your better half, or you?
Thanks

I have given my parents the I-134 form to fill out but they are unsure as to how to fill it out as the types of income the form requests are jointly shared by my parents. (e.g. their mortgage and investments are in both their names) SO, do both of them need to fill out a separate form, or is it ok if just one of them completes it. Should they note somewhere that these sources of income are jointly owned or is that not important. THANKS!

somewhere I read that you need to submit 4 copies of the G-325A form...but of course I cannot find the place where I received this information. Do you need 4 copies or just 1? Thank you!

Do you get the photos back or is everything you submit lost forever! lol
-
Is it ok to hand write the date and location on the back of the photos or does it have to be more professional?

Your post is very unclear. Try one more time by explaining who the US citizen is (if any of you is a USC and who the alien is. USCs have no A number, aliens who dealt with USCIS or INS have one. If whoever of you is the alien doesn't have an A number because no contact with USCIS has been made yet, write "none yet."
Sorry about that. I am the US citizen, my fiance is a British Citizen. He has been here on a 6-month tourist visa but was not able to work, so I do not think he has an A#. If he did, would it be on his visa?
-
Will my fiance be given an Alien Registration Number through the process? Is it advisable for him to put "none" under A registration number for the I-129F Petition then?
-
Both my fiance and I have copies of our birth certificates, so we do not need to send copies of our passports. However, he came on a 6-month tourist visa last year, and when I met him in the UK I was on a British Visa. If we want to submit this information as evidence of us being in contact with each other during the last two years, do we need to copy the whole passport, or just those pages. Seems like a dumb question, but you never know with Immigration!!

My fiance and I are about to submit the 129-F petition and we know that it can take several months for that to get processed. He was hoping to come over for a visit during the summer, but it's unclear as to whether he will be able to while the visa is processing. Has anyone been able to do this successfully or know where we can find out the correct information?

I know I have posted about my address before but I am confused as to what is the best one to put. I am currently going to school in Rhode Island and just signed a 14-month lease for an apartment here (which will be the place my fiance and I will live when he first arrives). However, I am currently still have a New York State Driver's License and have usually used my parent's house as my home address. Also, I do not know one my fiancé comes if we will be married in New York or Rhode Island (I need to investigate this further). Any suggestions???
