I am a permanent resident and my hubby is the US citizen and we are expecting our second child in September. Since I am currently in graduate school we want my mom to come over on a visiting visa so she can help with the baby while i go for classes. She went for her interview yesterday 08/09/2012 and she was placed on administrative processing.I really don't know what the next step should be.Do we contact our congressman or just wait it out.Because I don't know why a 65year old woman will be placed on AP.

Yeah he can change the address at the POE cos that was exactly what we did and we got our green cards in the mail at our new address.But he must make sure to tell the immigration officers that the address has changed.y

We,my Daughter and I,got the the 221g at our first interview and when we sent the email for a second interview we got a date for 2 months later.We got there around 12 noon and a queue wasn't formed till 12.50pm and eventually we were interviewed by the same CO and the only thing he asked for was. The document we were missing at the 1st interview.So be prepared

I came in through atlanta on an IR 1 visa and I had my daughter who has an IR 2 visa with me.Our experience was cool,there was no hassle just the normal documentation,no questions asked.The only but I noticed was the pace of the process.It was quite slow,there was only 1 officer on duty at the time.

We only paid one AOS fee for I and my daugher's petition but you would have to pay seperately for the IV fee.y

We had our interview at the Lagos consulate today.The interview was a breeze,the consulate officer was nice and courteous.

Me..We came here when she was born and we were informed that she isn't because hubby has not spent up to five years in the us at the time of her birth

We were given a form requesting for the pages of his international passport so they could count it at the embassy.

I felt bad cos it means more days apart for us but at the same time i believe God knows best.My hubby just scanned the document to me and i have requested for a date next week for our next interview...i wish

Exactly how i feel about our IR1 & IR2 coming up in January,but you need to put your faith in the Lord.And please dont forget to take more than enough evidence

Good day all,Our interview is coming up soon.We have all other proof of marriage except emails.From the time we got married in 2008 till July this year my husband was staying with me in Nigeria.And since he went back in July we've been communicating on phone and blackberry messenger chat.The phone records we can get but does any1 know how to print out our chats over the months.

I'm a bit nervous about this considering all i have read considering the lagos consulate.

I called nvc and was told our interview (my daughter & I) will be 21/01/11..hippe.We know with God on our side we shall have a success incterview in Jesus name,amen.Lagos consulate here we come.Any advice on incterview prep for lagos consulate will be appreciated

The same thing happened to us,hubby USC was staying Nigeria when our I130 was approved and forwarded to NVC in Feb and for almost 7mths our case was pending.He went to the states in July got a cosponsor and we got a SIF recently.Just get a co sponsor, do a cover letter telling nvc your situation &get it over with.

For proof of sponsor's relationship with household co-sponsors, you should include sponsor's birth certificate that shows both of his parents' name.

So we got the dreaded email from NVC,'RFE'.But I don't understand most of the things

they're asking:

1. Proof of sponsors relationship with household member..my parents in law both filled I -864A and hubby attached orriginal birth certificate showing both parents names

2.Applicant's birth certificate..mine {applicant} is missing but I got one from the national population which is the issueing body in Nigeria plus a sworn affidavit my mom.

3.Reason sponsor didn't file taxes in the last two years..He attached letter stating he's been in Nigeria all d while with us and he wasnt working.4.police report...I read that for Nigerians police report is needed at inteview stage so Y is NVC asking?

Damilola,your post has been very helpful.I currently work with bank in Lagos and i've been thing how to get a good job in the US after the visa.am to my school immediately to get my transcript
