Eu ca sa merg la ambasada trebuie sa iau avionul.... Am trimis prin posta la Tallahasee sa mi se puna apostila pe procura si certificatul de casatorie si mi s-a intors plicul inapoi ca cica nu il au in baza de date pe notarul care mi-a certificat imputernicirea si traducerile...Notarul e de la banca mea !!!???? Am printat alte procuri si bineinteles traducerea certificatului de casatorie, m-am dus iar la banca si am cerut alt notar sa mi le certifice si le-am trimis din nou in Tallahasee la apostilare. Dupa doua saptamani am sunat la ei ca nu era nici macar cecul incasat si mi-au spus ca in ziua aia ( cand am sunat) le vor apostila si le trimit la mine...ce sa spun!!! aici mi se pare ca birocratii sunt mai de condamnat decat in Romania...in Romania au salarii, mici si astepta spaga...aici au salarii foarte mari si beneficii bune si...ii doare in..spate de tot. Telefonul a fost acum 3 zile si inca astept actele....

Da, cand am fost la ambasada am ramas dezamagita de felul in care am fost tratata si eu si sotul meu. Doamne cat chin pe tanti de acolo, a durat 5 ore sa ma serveasca pe mine si alta tipa .....2 clienti in 5 ORE....si se mai si plangea ce viata grea are ea aici......(((( Ma asteptam la altceva din partea unei institutii care reprezinta o tara...

Auzi, posta nu ar trebui sa dureze mai mult de 2-3 zile, suna iar, nu-i lasa asa ca te uita cu actele tale. Ah, mi-am amintit, cand eram la ambasada suna telefonul, angajata ridica receptorul si zice " alo, da, domn'le va rog sa nu mai sunati aici" )))))))))))))))) dar unde maica sa sun? ))))))))))))))

Ce bine ca mai sunt romani prin zona. Din pacate mesajele par a fi cam de un an in uram in majoritatea lor. Daca e cineva care a trecut prin transcrierea certificatului de casatorie in Romania si/sau reinoirea pasaportului rog sa dea un semn. Am mare nevoie de o procura speciala engleza/romana pentru inscrierea certificatului de casatorie. Daca cineva are asa ceva as aprecia sa imi trimita si mie un model . today is my moving day. out of the apartment and back to my parents. But it seems like it will be just for a few days. My mother called me yesterday saying that I received a letter from the US Consulate ... it sounds like the one with a new appointment date. I'll know more when I get home tonight ... :-)) **hopes up again**

My husband has yet to get anything from USCIS in the mail. We had to drive through Canada this weekend. The Canadian immigration officer had some sand in her nether regions and was trying to play US immigration officer. She kept saying his stamped visa was invalid and he would not be allowed to enter the US. Where was his I-94, she screamed like a possessed harpy. When I tried to stop getting her to be a biitch long enough to read the visa ->I-551, she just said 'I am not going to talk to you. This proves nothing. Go to the immigration office.'. Fun times when the officer there said well, she was wrong and wasted an hour of our time. What the hell does that have to do period with *entering* Canada? Agh. Then when we drove back across the border, the US immigration officer just looked at his I-551, said OK, and that was it. About 1 minute.

I hope you all have some decent news.

Hey guys,

I guess I can say it in the good old German way "zu frueh gefreut"! I just got a call from the consulate. The girl on the phone said that they were waiting for the petition to "come down" (whatever that means - I guess it is on someone's desk sleeping) and therefore they have to cancel my interview appointment for Thursday. She said that otherwise they have everything and I shouldn't worry. Great! According to her it will take 4 - 6 weeks until I get a new appointment! How can that happen? How can they send out interview appointments although they don't know if their paperwork is ready?! Unbelievable! I hate bureaucracy! :-((

Now my husband is already in the states, I am here not knowing when I get that stupid appointment and when I can fly over. :-(

I had like 10-12 with me just in case they want more, I think they say something like the last 6 on the checklist but they ask only one. I suggest your co-sponsor to fax you the rest 5 of them, it is good to be safe than sorry.

lol I had a big fat folder with me at the Embassy, but I didn't take personal correspondence or stuff like that, only official letters from banks, insurance company etc. In your case I do not think it can be a problem with getting the visa, remember, your petition was approved in a few days ...and please, try to relax
