Is it okay to keep working for my current company after I enter the US with my K1 visa? My company has allowed me to keep working remotely from my fiance's home. My current office is located in Toronto, but they do have an office in Pittsburgh. I would be moving to Virginia. Is it okay to work like this? or is it not permitted? I would still be getting paid in Canadian funds, to a Canadian bank account, and paying Canadian taxes. This situation would only last a couple months after which it would end.

It usually takes a few weeks to receive packet 3... probably between 2 to 3 weeks on average.

You can call DOS (202-663-1225) and find out if Montreal has sent you the packet 3. You will need your case number that was given to you by NVC.

Hello! My fiance (from Canada) and I received notification from NVC back on April 21 that his packet was sent to Montreal for next steps. We have yet to hear/receive anything from Montreal (packet 3 is next step, yes?). Does anyone know how long it will take for us to hear anything from them? Please help!
