I am so sorry to not have replied! I forgot to check back on this comment. I'm not able to work and don't have much access to social contact because of where I live. I'm in North Carolina, but a small town.

I'm kind of lazy too. I don't mind trying to "doll myself up" a bit if I'm going out but beyond that, low-key is my "style". I would probably place more attention on my appearance if I was working, but aside from that, I don't bother.

Personality is definitely more important than appearance.

Is it possible for you to speak with someone higher up on the chain of command? Sounds like you deserve that expedite. Best wishes to you two!

I think it would be interesting to have a stylist for a day, just to help me figure out what sort of stuff would suit me best. However, I've never really placed too much focus on my appearance, so I would probably feel a bit odd to have someone else fuss over me since I don't fuss over myself to begin with! LOL.

Hehehe, I wish I had a personal hair and make-up stylist for that picture (or life in general!). My forehead has a white spot in the center from the camera's flash. I am just glad they accepted the picture. I kept make-up to a minimum and just had my hair pulled back into a ponytail to make sure my whole face was visible. I wish I took cosmetology to learn how to cut my own hair - it is driving me nuts!

At least we have valid passports now - yay!
