  1. Hello Fellows. Today, BINGO is my name... Here is why:

On October 9, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

This came after only few weeks after my RFE reply and glad it didn't took long for resolution.rolleyes.gif

    Beer time!

  2. Just received an RFE dated August 22 requesting more details on why my wife and I were livings in different states, and more joint financial records. I will send them what could help my cause and explain that it's not easy to find a job in a small town of 20K habitants in middle of corn fields... The good thing is after I send my I-751 my wife finally sold the house after being for sale for over a year, quit her job and move with me. Hope for my wife that we don’t get rejected because the Canadian winters are waiting for us…huh.png

  3. Wow… wonders if it's not a record time considering that my case was not requested to be expedited. I send my AOS papers on June 15 by snail mail and today (August 2nd) USCSI website shows that my I-485 is in production. CSC was taking care of my case.

Just can’t believe it. I could only think that all the good advices that I got from this site had made the difference.

Good luck for all others waiting for their approval

I guess I’m going to have a bottle of wine with my diner tonight

  4. Hello,

Finally my place got sold and I’m ready (April 26) to do my POE. I have tried and tried to get a compliance letter or at least to know what needs to be modified to import my car but VW Canada as not been cooperative with me… (One thing that I will remember for the future…) So here are my questions:

    - Would I have any problem at the borders to make my way with out importing my car? Any tips on that…

    - I will be leaving in Illinois and I believe that I could keep an out of state 90 days after I have my permanent residence in the state…. Would that start when I get my SSN or the first day I move in?

Any other tip will help me,

    Thank you

  5. Thank you for your replies,

I was hoping to sale my place before departure for several personal and financial reasons. It’s not as easy as I thought to turn around in 6 months after all...

  6. K1 extension?

Does someone know if I could get an extension after the K1 has been attached to my passport? I got my K1 in November and will end in April. Takes more time then anticipate to sale my place and wonder how to extend a K1 if possible… I'm still in Canada btw.

    Thanks

  7. I have my K1 visa in my passport and I cross the boarders with my Nexus card for the US Thanksgiving with some problems. I guess it is not so much about crossing with or without the Nexus card the issue… It is more about crossing it with the K1 and not activating it. Any way, to make a long story short, the second agent in the office I had to go for a 30 minutes interview clearly advise me to use the “normal” line when will be the time to activate my K1. I might have got an agent in a major power trip  but I still made my way to visit for my fiancé but with strong frustration with my experience.

    Good luck

  8. Sorry for the late reply… We had travel a lot during the passed few days. I am actually writing from my hotel room from Calgary.

All my best wishes to the November’s batch of Interview, I believe that the secret on a good interview is having all papers ready and handy.

Congratulation on your POE qcmeetsnc and let us know your plans for your wedding.

  9. The P4 consists of only 3 pages of things that mostly we already know (fees: $350, what papers to bring at the interview, what is prohibited inside the Consulate and that we will receive the passport with the visa by the nearest DHL courier). What I believe that is new is the link (http://canada.usvisa-info.com/) to schedule the interview. My guess is that the Consulate needs to associate to your case number the right to schedule an interview before you could do so. In other words, we still ending up having to wait for the P4 for an interview date that you chose. Personally, I really appreciate the flexibility.

  10. My first post and since many of all of your post helped me, I thought it was my turn :) .

I just got my P4 and I could confirm that we are choosing our date for the interview. Got the P4 in mail today and the soonest date I could pick was October 12. In the P4 it gives a priority date (mine was March 2009???) to book your interview... The days available to choose were only in the month of October with a couple of days not available to pick within October. I chose October 28 since I have to get my home ready to be sold and my medical done.

    Cheers,

    Marc
