  1. It's official. One year and still no approval. I'm almost out of patience. The embassy in Yemen is closed, and nothing is being done to this case. Im still at USCIS stage, wondering if I have any other options. No help from service requests, ombudsman, congressman. Also, im a USC, so y the long delay?

Is it possible to change embassies at this point in time? How long will this process take, and how would I go about this?

maybe Jordan, maybe Saudi Arabia. ANywhere as long as this case is moving.

hang in there 2 more years to go or more!! you can do it! look at me its been 3 years and im fine. (punched wall) see!! just doing fine!!!!

  2. My wife sent me her birth certificate and a translation of it because it is entirely in Arabic. The company that translated did not include a statement that they are competent to translate it into English. Instead, they stamp the translation "Ramada for Translation" with a signature of the translator next to it. Has anyone here submitted something like this and got it accepted without a problem? It's hard to find a translator in my city.

don't worry about it bro, they will accept it. i had my wife's birth cert and police background check translated in Yemen and stamped by the translator too. and i sent them and they didn't say anything. you worry too much lol. also hey my wife's papers just got to her wish me luck bro. now just still waiting for the interview lol.

  3. My wife is in a country with no proper addresses yet. lol (there is a potential revolution though that might change that!)

Anyway, can I e-mail the DS-3032 to her, she signs it, scans it and e-mails it to NVC (or back to me and I mail it to NVC)? Thanks.

yeah you can email it to her and she can fill it out and print it, then either she send it straight to nvc or to you. thats what i did. i let her send it back to me with a family friend and i mailed it to nvc.

  4. im pretty sure me and by "husband" are going to get divorced so if we do can i get him out of here. cuz i seems like it was visa fraud. he has changed 100000% he left me and went to live somewere else. and said he was going to move to another state. and nolonger wants me to involve any of my family. if you want more info on what happned pm me i dont want anyone to read this that knows the jerk

i know this is none of my business but im sorry this happened to you, because i have been a member with visajourney for almost i think 2 years, and i always read your post from before and how you wanted your husband to get here so badly. and now i read this and im shocked. its sad how some people just use other people just for a green card. good luck to you.

  5. hi im new to this site. ive been looking for something like this for awhile. hope im finally in the right place. i filed the i-130 three years ago for my husband. we were married four years ago in yemen. i have been going back and forth between yemen and america. along the way i ahve had two children. our application was just recently approved and they are supposed to be sending me my approval letter and sending my paperwork to the visa center. they are taking long to do that but i keep going there and they have an excuse. im hoping this time they are sending it for real. i am just introducing my situation and looking for support, other people going through what i am. it is a very hard life to live just waitin for my husband to be able to come here.

we are all in the same boat. I've been waiting for 2 years and 3 months for my wife's immigration process. but inshallah everything will be finished soon. you just gotta be patient and pray to Allah everything moves faster, there is nothing else that we can do. and these people at the immigration offices don't know how it feels to be in our shoes.

  6. I live in Yemen and I want to get a tourist visa to America, my work in the field of money exchange and remittance have traveled to Italy, Japan and Malaysia. Are these are the visas obtained by help me in taking a tourist visa to America

good luck, i dont think they give out tourist visas to people from our country. but if you had a family member here in the USA they can start immigration process for you. again im sorry. by the way, where are you from in Yemen?

  7. Yea. Inshallah. Its a such a long journey, but its definitely worth having our loved ones here. I actually stay in Sanaa most of the time, or Aden if we wanted to just get away from family. How about you?

im from the village lol, called juban! but i stay in sanaa sometimes. yemen is a beautiful country its just too bad that the people in charge are all corrupt. i just came back from there in march, i stayed there 6 months and oh man, i loved every minute of it! i went to aden, ibb, taiz and it was beautiful. i liked ibb more cuz it had beautiful views.

  8. Yea, we'll just be patient, knowing the people in Yemen, we're scared if we call too much it might delay the process. Umm, no. The interview ended with a blue sheet stating he will have to go through administrative process. But the Consular asked questions so nonchalantly. As if he knew and was ready to just give us the blue sheet, so he didnt ask us a lot of questions. He looked at his passport and gave it back. Then after three months, they called us to bring in his passport. We were so excited thinking they will stamp the visa that week & call us back to come get it but nope, haven't heard anything. & now its been two months. So, i guess they are just making us wait, due to it being a 'terror' country. They usually do things like this to the males. Females have it pretty easy. My brother has also applied for his wife, same time i did, but her case as been completed since May at the NVC. & Sanaa will NOT give her an interview date because they said they are super packed & are not scheduling any appointments until they are back to normal capacity. So, her case as just been sitting at the NVC since May. Sanaa needs major help, improvement, and just a whole new upgrade. Thats why i decided to do a K3 for my husband just so i can get Sanaa out the way & continue my husband's immigration process here in America. The U.S. are much more better to deal with as for Sanaa, i had to turn in the same paper three times because they 'lost it' all three times. So, goodluck with everything. Where are you in the immigration process so far?

well good luck on everything, and i hope for the best for you guys! as for my wife and I, my wifes I130 just got to NVC and yesterday i just sent I864 affidavit of support and just waiting on that to get approved and hopefully everything will go smoothly from there lol. **also you dont mind if i ask where you guys are from in yemen?

  9. Yes my husband is in Yemen right now, he has a yemeni passport. Im the US citizen whos petitioning for him. Im applying a K3 visa for him only because i thought it would be a faster process, but it seems to me it didnt really matter & i should of just went with the I130. But whatever too late for that. I believe our process started in April 7, 2009. Interview was April 24, 2010. Put on AP, five months now. They asked for him to turn in his passport two months ago, so im just wondering what are they doing with it for that long, is it just sitting there? A lot of people have difficulties with the Embassy in Sanaa. My husband just called yesterday & they told that everything looks fine, documents were present and everything. When my husband told them that his passport been there for 2months , the man said, 'yea , we know. you're good. just wait until we call you when the visa has been issued.' so, i guess, more waitiing?

well if your husband called, and they told him everything is fine then just be patient and wait.I have been waiting for almost 2 years, and i start my I130 process before you guys in October 2008 and i didn't even get any answers until august of this year, so alhamdulallah we just have to pray to allah and be patient. but if you really want to know why they took your husbands passport, i would try to call a local governor or senators office. and believe me they do help! **by the way when your husband handed over his passport, was he at the embassy for an interview at that time or what?

  10. What do you mean by security check will be centralized? Well, we hit our 5month administrative process today. And its super weird when my husband calls the embassy they keep telling him to not worry about a thing that he will get the visa just wait until the consular decides to issue it. Is it ever possible to speak to the Consular at the embassy?

ok im confused, is your husband in yemen right now? and your applying a k3 for him or what? and what passport are you talking about? is it a yemeni passport or usa passport?. my suggestion would be to contact your congressman or senator. cuz it took me almost 2 years to get my wifes I130 application to get approved, alhamdulallah. so contact them and explain to them your story and hopefully they will contact the embassy in sanaa for you.

  11. you dont need it. You can just have the beneficiary e-mail it from their account using this template: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Or if you really want to barcode it and send it physically (and slow down the process since it needs to be filled out by the beneficiary) use this: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/DS-3032_barcode_instructions

if you havent already done so, call the NVC and give them your guy's e-mail addresses.

I see you have been waiting for a long time...did you finally get an approval since you are asking about this?

man I've been waiting almost 2 years and i finally got an approval for my wife, thank god.

  12. Hey everyone,

After a long wait and some help from Mr. J.I. from the Congressman's office, we got approved on the 16th of Aug!!! Both our petitions are being send to the NVC and we will pursue the IR1/CR1, that's why I'm posting it here! :) (we kinda had that IR1/CR1 intention all along :P).

I just wanted to share that the USCIS didn't request any RFE or other dox for the expedition, which makes me think that it probly was (almost) our time for a NOA2.. Sooo, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for everyone waiting for their NOA2 and I hope you get it sooner than later!

Now, the NVC battle begins!:bonk::ph34r:

    Best of luck to all!

    Milena

i also got an approval NOA2 on august 12, 2010. and its going to be transfered to NVC. my question now is, whats next steps im going to take?

  13. detroit? what?

    appointment date? for what ?

you skipped NVC processing, entirely ?

sorry, even after reading yer prior posts, I'm verra confused.

is possible that finally, yer having an interview for BIOMETRICS at the DETROIT office?

lol to get my I130 approved, i know it sounds funny but they have not approved my i130 yet. hopefully they will and it will be on its way to nvc, then the consulate in yemen.

  14. Hello Dear Friends,

Is there anyone whose I-130 (outside current processing time) was transferred to TSC and not approved yet?

I am in such situation now. My I-130 was filed on Dec. 06. It was transferred to Texas Service Center few months ago. My priority date is already current but they haven't approved my petiotion yet.

Anyone in similar situation? Please share your experience/ideas.

    Thank you,

im in the same boat as you are, i filed my I130 on October 30, 2008 for my wife at California service center. and then they transferred it to the USCIS local office in Detroit mi where i live, and ever since then still pending. i contacted my congressman, my senator, lawyers, i even wrote a letter believe it or not to president obama lol but still no answer.

  15. Hello everyone,

I am a USC who filled an I130 for my spouse in 9/2008. The case was transferred to the local detroit office in 6/2009 pending an interview an interview for myself, the petitioner. I contacted my senator in 10/2009 and was told I should have an interview by 1/2010. In 2/2010 I was told that they were so behind they don't even know when they will schedule my interview. I have sent in so much proof that we are married from pictures, airline tickets, financial documents that me being interviewed in the 1st place is ridiculous. My lawyer filed a Writ of Mandamus in the beginning of March. My lawyer has spoken to their lawyer and has told me that well have some significant info by the end of May. I thought they were supposed to give you an answer within 60 days? Can I file another info pass appointment? I am so sick of waiting for them to tell me to go ahead and start my life.
