Okay, I have 4 cases being processed by NVC. By now I have experimented different options and found my answer.

Done with this forum, it is a great forum with a lot of useful info, but asking questions here can be hurt. good luck to all NVC'ers.

NVC received my case on 10/18, I called on 10/20 to provide email address. But still haven't received IIN or 3032. Saw some people get email from NVC just a few days after NVC# obtained. Feeling depressed..

NVC 'backoffice' ops have increased, from six months ago -

so this concept of 'immediacy' is gone. What used to be 'immediate' and 'same day' has stretched to '3 days' to '3 weeks'

NVC needs to 'get ready' to process yer casefile.

WHEN you have AOS fee bill in yer email, IMO - NVC is ready to rock and roll.

I notice a pattern of you having big reluctance to take any advice I give you, and act on that advice.

So, I'm out - I'm not going to respond to yer posts anymore. If you wish to study some 'direct advice', study yer prior posts using the 'advanced search' tool - I've made all of the proper responses then and there; it's still up to you, to vette my opinion on yer parent's casefiles.

Once I get NVC#, do I have to wait until I receive the 3032 from NVC to send the OPTIN? Or as soon as I get NVC#, I can just use the 3032 from the state.gov website and send the OPTIN?

If Opt in for electronic processing, after sending the OPTIN email, how long will get the GUO number these days?

My mom's 130 was just approved on 5/7/2010, I haven't received NVC# yet. So now preparing for the NVC steps. I'm having my parents to sign the forms (COA, 230, etc), when should they date those forms? after they sign and date the forms, if i alter the forms to add NVC#, would that invalidate the forms? or can my parents just sign the forms and leave the date to be blank, so that i can just print the date on it?

one of mine with NOA1 5/6 is approved today. Received email at 8PM...

I have the same exact question too. My parents were rejected tourist visa 4 times and gave up trying anymore. I now started the I-130 for them.

What's the criteria to maintain the green card? Have to stay in US more than 6 every year?

should i attach multiple attachment (one for each document) or scan all into one single giant pdf?

2009's is available. You can call IRS to request your 2009 tax transcript as I have requested mine at the end of April. Ask them to fax to you if possible or they will mail it to you.

do you mean i have to talk to operator to rquest it? when did you file yours? I filed mine on 4/15, and the automated system said my 2009 transcript is not available yet.

only got 2008, 2007...
