  1. I was conditionally approved on the 12th pending one document yet to come in. I am sure that they should have received the document by now, but I still have yet to see a return shipment according to my tracking number. Is there another way, other than e-mail, to contact them to see if my file has been completed? Worst of all i have big vacation plans first week of August.

Thanks for any advice / help!

  2. W Hotels are awesome!

I basically lived at that W hotel for 8 weeks in the summer of 2008 for work. Its a fun place. Definitely for the trendy crowd. Otherwise, you might get disturbed by the lounge that turns into a club at night. I personnally love it. But definitely not for everybody. If you just want comfort without the frills, go to Queen Elizabeth, which is probably the most storied hotel in Montreal.

  3. Hi Dev,

Yes, the family based visa category for children over 21 is incredibly - screwed up. Glad to see your file is moving along!

This email indicates that you are finished with NVC, they have all the documents they require and they are going to book your appointment for an interview in Montreal.

    Don't be a lurker :)

Thanks! Yes, it is really bad. But everything has worked out well. I was on an intercompany L visa for awhile and then an F1 school visa for grad school. But now i'd like to go there for work.

    Good luck to everyone!

  4. Hello everybody,

I've been lurking on the boards for the last month. I am being sponsored by my mother, but i figure the timing will be similar to those in your category at this point. For those of you feeling like its been a long wait... My family moved to the US just after i turned 21.... 9 years later i am finally joining the family! Now, i am awaiting an interview date i believe. Wanted to ask if i still need an e-mail saying the case is complete. Below is the e-mail i received April 23rd:

    Dear Sir/Madam:

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing of your case has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

    Regards,
