Mrs. S got a reaction from VanessaTony in AOS interview - check! Approved - check!
    Hi all,
I've been following the threads on this forum for months without posting anything. Today we had our AOS interview and I think I owe other people to share my experience.
We had an appointment at 9.30 but waited in two different waiting rooms for about 1.5 hours. The first waiting room was so warm and crowded and I started to think that this setting was on purpose to make people more nervous. The second waiting room was cooler but more crowded. We waited and waited until an IO escorted us to her room. From the beginning she looked very strict and I was prepared for the worst.
I arrived here last summer on a J1 visa and I was afraid that they would do anything to prove a visa fraud in our case because we were engaged for more or less just a month and after the wedding we submitted the AOS packet ASAP. I really thought that these facts would be a red flag in our case. On the other hand, our love and marriage is real!
The IO asked us the following questions:
    - where and when we met
    - if I've met my husband's parents, and if so when
    - what kind of a wedding we had
    - who attended the wedding and if anybody from my family came
    - if I know my husband's cell phone # (which I admitted I don't know it by heart)
    - who is our cell phone carrier
    - what we do for living
    - which languages I speak
All questions she asked very politely and everything was like a very, very important small talk. She asked to see our wedding pictures and we offered also pics from all our trips when we had a long distance relationship for years. I dragged with me various things to prove our marriage bona fide, but nothing but our birth certificates, passports, and wedding pics were requested.
The entire interview took about 15 minutes and the IO told me at the end that I was approved. I received my passport with the most relevant stamp ever and was told that my GC will be sent within 6 weeks.
I hope my note will be helpful to some, I sure was a nervous wreck for days before the interview. Good luck, everybody!
    Best,
    Mrs. S
