On the bottom of the page where it asks if this form is submitted in connection with an application for Naturalization, Status as Perm Resident and other. What do I check off if I am the petitioner?

On the part of the G325a form where it asks for the city and country of residence for my parents, what do I put down if they are both passed away? Do I write deceased for both of them?

I am in a similar situation as you.

I met my Fiancee online in July 2009 and went to Barranquilla to meet her in December 2009. I fell in love with her and proposed on my first trip. When I returned I filled out the K1 petition package and got it was approved. I had all of the items needed for the petition like pictures, passport stamps, hotel receipt with both of our names, etc... but did not have pictures with her family :-(.. My petition was approved without the family pictures but I did go back to see her in March. I went for her graduation and did take pictures with her family that we plan to show at the interview. It just so happens that we got the NOA2 right before we ate lunch at our hotel in Barranquilla.. :-)

Hopefully me being at the interview will help influence the decision in our favor I'll be sure to let you know how it turns out next month.

Yes, very good point there. I plan to spend some time with her mother and father and siblings. Definatley going to take some pictures with her family as I am sure that will improve her and my chances. Thanks once again everyone!

I met a woman through the internet back in February. Ever since we talk on the phone and talk online all the time. I plan on going to Bogota in a few weeks to meet her and spend some time with her. My question is when I get back home I am going to start the K1 process. Will it be too soon? We will have all the necessary materials like posted cards I sent to her, phone bills, my passport stamp, flight int., and lots of photos we are going to take of each other. We are both very crazy for one another and I hope and pray to God that we are together soon. Thanks for the replies everyone.

She will have to wait until she has received either a work permit or her Green Card. Both will take longer than you may anticipate.

I hope this is the correct forum to post this question, if it isnt moderators please move it. Once my fiancee enters the US with her K1 she has told me that she would like to find work. My question is does she have to wait after the 90 days after I adjust her status or can she get a job before this time period?

I am filling out my side of the form of the I-29F. Under the part where it asks me the number of my certificate, do I enter the local file number thats on the upper left hand side of my birth cert? Or do I enter the birth number thats on the upper right hand side? Thanks for the replies everyone.

Well you send a packet (petition) to the USCIS but I think what your asking for is this.

NOA1 - Notice of Action (letter) that the USCIS sends to the petitioner when your petition is received.

NOA2 - Notice of Action sent to the petitioner when the peition is approved.

Packet 3 - instructions sent to the beneficiary on how to apply for visa after the USCIS sends the approved petition to the NVC and the NVC forwaeds it to the consulate.

Packt 4 - interview appointment letter and instructions for interview.

My fiancee's birth certificate and police background check is in spanish. Does she need to have them translated into english so the folks at USCIS can read them? Or can they read spanish?

Hi everyone, just wanted to say hello to everyone that is out there and also have a quick question. On the K1 Visa does the petitioner and the fiancee have to write out a two page letter describing on how we met and why we want to be together? Is this mandatory? We are going to include pictures taken together, my passport stamp, phone bills, and credit card receipts.
