  1. My checks have not been cashed since the USCIS received my AOS, AP and EAD packages on 08/01/07 and I have received nothing back.

I had called the "misinformation" line and they told me that I would have to wait 90 days for an inquiry to be made ... so I made an infopass appt for this morning.

The officer was not going to do anything blaming the backlog until I showed her the USCIS Receipt processing update from 09/14/07 stating that they had processed all received up to 08/30/07 .. she looked in the system and nothing has been recorded under my A# as being received sooo .. she photocopied my UPS confirmation and told me that someone would contact me within the next couple of days.

    Wish me luck.

I am on the same boat. However, I applied on 9/1/2007 and they recieved the package on 9/6/2007 according to the USPS. I am waiting same as you for them to cash my check. I also called and they said the wait is 90 days, which is ridiculos. I thought the new rates will make the process go faster and not slow it down!!!

  2. Thanks...the fee is just ridiculous. Just wanted to confirm if its still possible to go CR-1/IR-1 course even though my husband has entered the US with a K-3. By the way I am told that it takes a couple of years to Adjust Status through I-485 filing in the US..Is it true?

I believe it would take more than 9 months only if your documents went missing or behind someones desk until they decide to clean up the desk

But the usual cases take from 6 to 9 months.

  3. Have to pay USCIS $1015 for AOS, EAD and AP.

While you'll get SSN and GC shortly after arriving in the US with the CR.

We did the whole trip and wished we'd stayed with the CR BIGTIME now!!!

    How did you calculate that?

    AOS $325

    AP $170

    EAD $180

Sorry ! That's what the new fees will be July 30, 2007 and that's what you will have to pay for your wife to do a AOS.

Yep I just checked the new fee schedule $1010 for AOS. Darn ... In the other hand to become a citizen I believe its not a high price to pay. I just wish that the new fees will make the process faster as they promised!!!

  4. K-3 file is at Local consulate,Packet 3 sent today for K3. I-130 was approved on the same day and sent to NVC. Today i received AOS(Affidavit) bill and Choice of agent form !! Is it possible to get it without paying extra 200$ to USCIS? How do i hold I-130 for CR1 and go forward for K-3 only? Thank you all

My wife has an interview date at the Local Embassy on July 5'th and she gathered all the documents on packet 4 and did her medical. Now I recieve the AOS bill for the I-130 as well ....

I am going to have to call them and ask them to return the case to VSC because she already has her interview scheduled and will be here shortly (GOD willing).

  5. I got my I-130 approved today

The I-129F is still pending and maybe will get void since the I-130 was approved first. I am confused there

    Congratulations!!!!!

I also got my I130 approval first, but after a few hours I had the second e-mail with I-129F approval.

No need to worry. You will also get your I-129F approval very soon.

Thank You very much!!! Well I got my I-130 approved at 1:15pm today. And its 6:45PM and no approval on the I-129F!!! I really don't want to pursue the I-130 with the NVC. With the help of GOD I hope I recieve the I-129F approval tonight or tomorrow.

I got my I-130 approved today

CONGRATS! A VSC approval! Let's get that I-129F approved too.

Thank you, amen to that! Yours should follow tomorrow or this week!

  6. I am confused as to whether I am a March or April filer. We filed the I-130 in March in Vermont and the I-120F in April in Chicago. Our case was transferred to California on May 4th and touched on May 8th. I heard a lot of cases appear to have been transferred to California but I don't know how they decide which ones. I am in Vancouver and my husband is in Seattle.

I believe you will be considered an April filer for the I-129F pettition. I don't know if VSC is overwhelmed with applications at this point of time, but it seems like that, because they tend to be faster than they are being right now.

  7. Count us iN! How can we contact VSC? and talk to a Live person? it'll be awesome if you can give us info on that!

I called 1-800-375-5283 as SumonLopa described. However, the agent claimed "he searched for my file on their database". All I wanted to know is if I had an RFE or an Approval and the online system didn't show it. I believe I pressed 1 for English and 2 for RFE, I didn't type my receipt number and was connected to a live person.

I don't know the number of VSC directly.

I am in the same boat.....

Your timeline is almost the same as mine ... lets hope for the best, if we don't get the approval this week. Maybe Tuesday!!!

    Touched today !!! :dance::dance:

Thats great news ............................. I predict you will get your approval tomorrow. Lets hope they are back on track and give all of us our approvals soon.

  8. I don't know if there is a topic for March VSC filers. But it would be nice to know if anyone who has their application at VSC got an approval. I have called VSC today and spoke with a live person, only to find out that my case is still pending. His tone was very good, and he tried his best to give me explanations on why cases might take a long time to be processed. I didn't want to hear all that, but I was polite to listen because he was polite on the phone as well. Anyhow, if you got an approval please post it since we are all in the same boat. I think the last person who got an approval from VSC (4/30/2007) was "damian" if I am not wrong.

  9. 129f Approved
