If you are worried about this and would like assurance, get a passport card, it's easy to carry and will serve as proof of citizenship...

I sent my N-400 in mid January, my oath ceremony is scheduled for next Wed April 28, about 100 days all in all.

To anyone who has N400 interview experience at San Diego office, were you scheduled for the oath during the interview or you have to wait for the oath letter in the mail?
My interview is on May 18th and the next oath taking is May 26th, and then next is June 29th. I am hoping I can be at the May 26th oath since I am planning to be out of the country by mid-June for 2 months (which I will postpone if I dont get the oath by May).
My IO said to expect the letter 'in the next few weeks.' It arrived exactly in one week later: interview date 4/12, N-445 date 4/16, letter in the mailbox 4/19.
There are two ceremonies in May, one on May 21 (Chula Vista Office) and the other on the 26th (Golden Hall at the US District Court downtown). Good luck with the interview!

Wow! This is great information. I have to believe this is very accurate (unless of course the event is postponed due to some other reasons)!
Thank you!!!
Got my oath letter today! It's on April 28th, so the schedule seems reliable. :-)

Does anyone know the schedule for Oath Ceremony in San Diego? I surfed the web and saw the 2009 schedule but not 2010.
Check out this link. SD democratic party usually attends these events to register new voters. I don't know how reliable this information is but... My link

Can anyone share what to expect during the oath ceremony downtown San Diego? I am going next Wed 4/28. My notice says to report promptly at 8am. A few friends want to witness me becoming a citizen. Ay pointers on when it would be best for them to show up? I know that there is some pre-ceremony processing involved, so I'd hate for them to stand around and wait for a long time. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
