  1. My wife went in for her interview yesterday in Kathmandu. She said their were a few nepali ladies working instead of the normal american employees that conduct the interviews. All they did was ask for her passport and take the photo albums she brought with her and told her to come back on friday. She asked if they wanted our chats, letters, etc as supporting evidence and they told her no but to bring them back on friday also. They didn't ask her any questions and told her she was finished and could go. They didnt say she got her visa, only to return on friday. Unfortunately my wife didnt ask what was happening. There were other people in the room waiting for their visa and they did the same thing for them also...Any idea what's going on?

Thankfully we only have a few more hours to see what's going on....I just hope and pray my wife's case isn't going in for review....

  2. I need to resend my wife's passport bio page to the NVC. The NVC sent me an email with a cover letter including a bar code that must be included with the new documents. One set of documents was already submitted yesterday using this bar code/cover letter. But we'd like to submit another, better scan of her passport. Can we do this using the same barcode/cover letter?

Should we contact the NVC and tell them that we want to resubmit? And if we do does this put up 'red flags' that could cause delays?

Thanks everyone in advance for your input.

  3. So all of my wifes documents were sent into the NVC a couple weeks ago on April 7. I received an email from them 3 days ago stating that they still need a copy of my wifes passport bio page to complete her file. I had an attorney send in the documents for me. The attorney is trying to tell me that maybe the NVC is asking for my wifes bio page again because they don't like/trust her passport. It's a real passport. I'm sure of that. I'm thinking that the attorney is trying to cover his mistake of forgetting my wifes bio page by saying the NVC is questioning the passport validity.

Does anyone know, if the NVC doubts the validity of someones passport, is this how they would go about trying to rectify it, by re-requesting a copy of the document they already have? Wouldnt the NVC just say that the passport is in question or just deny the application?

I know my wifes passport is real. It's from Nepal and they handwrite the bio page which could raise some doubts but I would assume that the NVC already knows about this.

The scan that my wife sent me of her passport is slightly unclear. Its all still readable, even the fine print, but it's still a little fuzzy. Could this be it?

Or did the attorney just forget to send it?

Anyone with some knowledge, please help me out.

    Thanks for your time
