Hi all, our visajourney is finally over. Mary is officially a citizen. Took her oath today in Muskogee, OK. We updated her SSA info on the way home. It was a nice ceremony, 24 new citizens from 8 different countries.
Thanks to everyone for your help, good luck to the remaining marchers!

Here is a link to some pictures. You will need a two hole punch as well, and I had to make my own dividers as bottom tab dividers are hard to find. Try to find a small (individually owned) print shop, they will usually sell acco clips a few at a time instead of a box of 50.

Hi all, we received Mary's oath letter yesterday. It will take place on 09-18-09, Oklahoma is kinda slow. LOL

Congratulations Anci78!!!

Congratulations Tini27!!!!
Mary and I are so relieved that your RFE email turned out to be a mistake.

You don't need to worry about that. I noticed the discrepancy myself when we mailed my wife's N-400 application. It's not a problem.

Thanks for the info mapenzi.
Sadly, we are in the Eastern district, and they do not post any schedule or calender on their site. Still, it should help members in the Western district.

Hi all, Mary had her interview yesterday in OKC. It lasted about 15 minutes and went very well.
She was asked to read: Which State has the most people? And write: California has the most people.
The History/Civics questions were:
1. There are 4 amendments to the Constitution about who can vote. Describe one.
2. Who is in charge of the Executive Branch?
3. What is one right or freedom in the first amendment?
4. If the President can no longer serve who becomes President?
5. What is one reason colonists came to America?
6. During the cold war what was the main concern of the United States?
Then he reviewed her application, asked her the yes /no questions and said congratulations you passed, gave her the approval notice and said they would mail her the oath notice soon.
Thanks for everyone's help and encouragement. Good luck to the Marchers still waiting.

That is great! I've been following your saga, glad to hear you finally got it.

Excellent news! You've been such a cheerleader for us march filers, I'm glad you finally have your interview date.

Hello everyone, we received Mary's interview letter today. It is dated may 22 and the interview is scheduled for July 20. Could someone please add this update, I know I'd just screw up the list.
Thanks, Tim & Mary

I think you'll be fine. That "allow up to four weeks for delivery" is baloney. I've requested tax transcripts three different times and they have always arrived in under a week.

Congratulations

If he could not be bothered with going to his interview why should we bother to try and help him?

You can get both the card and the passport book. We plan to do so after Mary is a citizen for the simple purpose of having an easy to carry proof of citizenship. Just keep the card in your wallet with your drivers license and you always have proof of citizenship.

Glad to hear you finally know they received it.
I know exactly how you feel. I paid extra for certified and tracking on all of our immigration packages: K-1; Work permit; AOS; Removal of conditions; and lastly the N-400.
Of all five times the tracking worked only once.
USPS stinks.

Thank you MsAnn

Umm, the reformatting seems to have booted me of the list.
Now I'm sad.

Hello everyone,
would someone please add us to the list? I'm not a big computer guy and I'm sure I'd find a way to mess it up.
We sent my wife's application to the Texas lockbox on 03-30-2009, noa1 date is 04-01-2009, biometric appointment(arrived today) is for 04-28-2009 and our local office is Oklahoma City, OK.
Thanks, and good luck to everyone.
