now since i figured those information i have a dilemma i live in lubbock texas and where i live we dont have a place that translate from arabic to english for my birth certificate!!!!!!! any info about that like where can i translate my birth certificate

I am not familiar with where Lubbock is in Texas. I am sure that the bigger cities in Texas (Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and many more) would have arabic translators. I am sure you could do a search online to find one in a nearby city. I know there are several Texas VisaJourney members in this forum (Middle East and North Africa-MENA) that live in Texas. I hope they will see your post. If you don't get a response from them, you may want to post a topic titled: Lubbock Texas (or nearby) Arabic Translator Needed.

I don't know if the translator even has to be officially certified; or just has to be fluent in both languages and of course the person cannot be yourself. So it may not be as difficult as it appears to find someone to be a translator. I am not an expert so I would get someone else's advice who knows more.

hi yall i hope all is good and well

The fee for AOS is the most expensive. Once the AOS is approved, you will have to file for Removal of Conditions or ROC (Form I-751 - the fee is currently $545.00) 90 days before your 2 year green card expires.

Once your ROC is approved you will be given a 10 year green card. You will then have a choice to just replace your 10 year green card every 10 years for a fee of around $360.00 (Form I-90) each time or file for naturalization (Form N-400 - fee is currently $675.00) after 3 years (you can file up to 90 days before) of receiving the 2 year green card and be done with USCIS and not have to worry about filing any more papers or worry about paying money every 10 years.

Filing for naturalization can be done at anytime after ROC and does not have to be done right away.

So you will only have to come up with $545 in two years. You can then choose to wait 10 years to pay $360 each 10 years. You also have the choice in 3 years or more to file the N-400 for $675 and be done with papers and fees forever.

If you are going through VSC, this is a glitch that has been happening (apparently unaddressed) for the past month or two. I would definitely go to the first one. When you go, don't mention anything about your other letter. Just take your first letter and I can't imagine them turning you away. USCIS is a very disorganized agency.

It's not just VSC, we may be the first CSC applicants to receive two bio letters, but we received our first one for 6/11, did an early bio on 5/25, and two days later received another appointment letter for 6/7. My husband starts a new job tomorrow and he wanted to get the bio out of the way so he wouldn't have to take a time off right away (we also have to drive 90 minutes our nearest office).

Calling USCIS is a waste of time. Making an infopass will take as much time as just going to the bio appointment. Is it a waste of time to go to both appointments (and take time off from a job that was just started 6 days earlier) or is it a risk to not go to either and end up appearing to have abandoned the application? :wacko:

Now I'm confused. We just received a second bio appt letter today that is scheduled for 6/7. The first bio appt is scheduled for 6/11. We did an early successful bio walk-in 5/25 (the lady told my husband that all the fingerprints matched). We filed with CSC (isn't VSC the ones sending 2nd bio appt letters - are we the first CSC applicants?). Thank goodness we did receive our NOA1. What do we do now??

I should have read the last couple of pages. :blush: I guess CSC is joining VSC's bandwagon of double appt letters (at least in our case). I'll give USCIS a call (kicking and screaming). I guess it's nothing to be overly concerned about.

that agent is giving you wrong info!!! you need call them back and ask for a supervisor but even better, an OFFICER!!! The mear fact that she thinks you can't do an early bio just shows you they are wrong. Did you know the agents told me I could not get another copy of the NOA1 unless I went to NYC with and info pass... well tehy were wrong too! Supervisor very easily put in service request to send me the NOA1. So call back and escalate the call to get real answers. My hubby did the early walk in bio had that whole second biometrics letter come after the fact etc, and the officer said to ignore it, you are fine if he had them done and got the stamp. Good luck!

We tried the early bio today. The entire room was empty and the IO lady was watching 'As The World Turns' in the waiting room. We seemed to have interrupted her 'tv' time. She said, "Isn't it a little early to come 3 weeks before your appointment?". My husband said, "Yes, but I am starting a new job on June 1 (which is true) so I thought I'd see if I could get in if it wouldn't be a problem (in his nicest and most humblest manner)". She went ahead and did them and we were out in less than 15 minutes. Hopefully she got in most of 'As The World Turns' after we left.

My husband doesn't even know if you can buy health insurance in Morocco. You can buy car insurance. He's pretty sure that there isn't any traveler's insurance. He said that even if there is, like car insurance, you will end up paying out of pocket 100% (and more) anyway because they will find a way to make you pay for it one way or another. Morocco has few citizens leaving for visits to other countries :whistle: . Also as a third world country, most 'insurance' is a scam.

Thanks for replying. He did have a bypass this past Sunday night. We want to wait until it is medically conceivable for him to endure an overseas flight.

I did some quick online searches and there were some that would cover pre-existing conditions up to around $15,000. I don't have any idea how reputable these companies are. I was hoping there might be someone who might have some experience with one of these insurance policies.

We would like to purchase health insurance for my husband's parents while they visit later this year for about 3 months. Does anyone have any experience purchasing a policy like this that is reputable and reasonable price wise? They are both under 70 years old. His mother has had ongoing kidney problems for many years but nothing major in the past year and his father just recently had a serious heart attack and has diabetes as well.

My husband does want his father to be seen by a heart specialist here to be sure he is receiving the proper care back home.

Is it possible to get any kind of health insurance for his parents?

My husband's father has been having heart problems for almost 3 years. He had 2 heart attacks 3 years ago and has had trouble with fluid around his heart since and not feeling well. He had another heart attack last week. This was on a Sunday. His family lives in a semi-small town and the 'hospital' there said that all of the heart doctors were on vacation and would be back tomorrow. I told my husband that he needs to go to Rabat or Casa and he needs to be in a hospital immediately under the care of a doctor NOW. He said it isn't america.

His father worsened through the night and they eventually took him to Rabat. The doctors there told him that if he has $5,000 he can stay, if not he needs to go home. My husband's brother-in-law was saving for a car and gave the money. The doctor later said that if he waited 3-6 hours longer he would have died.

Once my husband's father is in a condition to be able to do so, my husband wants to bring his parents here to visit and to have his father be seen by a heart specialist here. Does anyone have any experience with this and is there a visitors foreign health insurance plan that is not a sham and reasonable?
