  1. i based that from a friend's timeline. She only lacked the divorce decree. And it was in December so maraming holidays.I dont know if its new but 2 of my friends who just had their interview used that number to inquire about the status of their visa. They will tell u if its ready for printing or when they have printed it and the date on its out to delivery. After that u can track your visa in 2GO site..

Halo Ganda, thank you so much sa number na binigay mo. I call them few minutes ago and they told me na I should have my visa on-hand on Monday.:dance::dance:

  2. It takes 2 weeks or more..

    REPOST:

if you want to know the status of your visa while waiting or kong me kulang kayo that you already submitted, better call the 3012000 ext. 5184 or 5185..call them early in the morning kase after 8am, for sure super busy na yun..

Thank you Ganda. NBI na lang ang kulang ko at naipasa ko na cia a week ago. Super worried lang talaga ako about dito. New number ba ito ng embassy? :)

^^^ I agree with Maganda. You will have your visa malapit na!

Thank you thank you! sana nga matanggap ko na ang visa q super tagal na rin kc process namin e almost 2 years.

  3. Guys, I am asking an advise about this CFO thing. I didn't realize I have to do this. My interview will be on February 1st and hubby booked my flight on the 10th. Manila embassy delivered IR-1 visa within 3-5 working days. So by the 7th or 8th I can get my visa in hand. What I am worrying about I might not I have enough time for this CFO thing. What do you think? Please please I need some info... Thanks!

U can have it finished within a day.

  4. Hi everyone, I had my interview first week of this month. All papers are okay but the consul asked one more from me - NBI Clearance (I already submit NBI clearance for my single name and married name). There's an error in my birth certificate (from NSO) but corrected it 2007 when I was in college so now they are askng for my uncorrected name. Since I have a history already, I put the uncorrected name as A.K.A and sent the clearance (together with my passport) to the embassy after 9 days.

Just wondering how long will it take for them to process it? Will it take months? Is there a way for us to find out the status of it?

    Thanks!!

  5. Happy New Year everyone! My interview was scheduled on February 01, 2011. My husband is now planning to book an airline ticket for me within this week. I told him it might not be a good idea. We should wait after my interview. But he said, booking a ticket earlier will save us $$. Is it really a good idea for my hubby to book a ticket for me already? He's planning for my flight on February 14 ( Valentines Day here in Philippines so that when I arrived there in US it's Valentines Day there. I know my husband is really excited to be with me again. 0) After my interview, how long am I going to wait for my visa? I read here it's 7-10 days. But some said it took them a month? I hope not that long....

Not a good idea. I had my interview last Jan 7, 2011 for CR-1 but until now havent received my visa yet. Still waiting.....

  6. Your petiton is "approved" at the USCIS stage which was your NOA2. Since you are now at NVC you are waiitng for your case completion.

As Loto posted earlier " Basically, you are not able to sign in in NVC payment portal. This is called NVC SIF. This is good indication that your case at NVC is almost completed. Now talk to the NVC operator when is the Case completion happens. Once CC is done, NVC will schedule your interview date in 1 to 2 weeks time."

So what this means is if you cannot sign into the online payment portal of NVC your case is on its' last steps. You should have a case complete shortly which can be confirmed by speaking to an operator at NVC. Then you wait for your interview date. Good luck.

Thanks OBX! Hubby called and NVC confirmed that petition is APPROVED! They will send me the appointment letter nxt week

  8. Ok, you do not have a timeline in your signature so I was not certain. Loto and Nica has provided the answers so I won't repeat them. Good luck...you are super close.

we dont have timeline coz i dont know what to put... :( we've been processing our papers for almost 2 years now and still no luck. i dont know when and where to start ... should i put the time line before our papers went missing?

  9. You're on the wrong website.

    Go here:

    https://ceac.state.g...ice/signon.aspx

And sign in with your NVC case # and IIN, if you get SIGN IN FAILED, that means case is complete or near completion.

    Good luck!

Thanks Nica, I can still sign-in so does it mean our papers still in process and not yet completed? I am kinda worried about the date that they have posted in the site. We paid d immigrant visa July using money order but in the site they said we paid them just last month Nov. 10. would that affect everything?

  10. Oh, I was also confused initially with USCIS site

Now USCIS is history for you.

Basically, you are not able to sign in in NVC payment portal. This is called NVC SIF. This is good indication that your case at NVC is almost completed. Now talk to the NVC operator when is the Case completion happens. Once CC is done, NVC will schedule your interview date in 1 to 2 weeks time.

I think Manila Consulate gets interviews in 1 to 1.5 months time after NVC case completion, now-a-days.

    Loto

I was also confused as friends who applied the same keep telling me to check in USCIS but I keep telling them that we are already in NVC. Thanks for clearing this up. I can still sign-in to NVC payment portal but now I am wondering why NVC keep telling my husband to check my email all the time? They said they sent a package to my husband (they told him that 3 weeks ago) until now havent received them yet. Do u have any idea what they sent him? They also said that all papers are in and no problem at all... but I am still worried about it.

  11. If the NVC has sent your husband "something" then you are no longer with the USCIS but at the NVC stage. Are you waiting for your NOA2?

Halo, done with NOA2 already... we are waiting for the interview date. Been trying to sign-in to check our case but could not get through. Everybody told me that once you cant sign-in... petitions approved already but want to make sure. Do u know where to check the case status online aside from USCIS?

  12. Hi everybody, I have been trying to sign-in our case in USCIS but could not get through... this message keep popping up: "Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283." Put down 10x but still could not get through... does it mean d petition been approved? Thanks!

  13. Hi guys, I have a friend and they just got married. Her husband is a foreigner from US and shes from here in our country. The problem is after her husband went back home to US, he just suddenly stopped talking to her. One day, she received an email saying he wants a divorce. No explanation. After that, she cant contact him anymore. No divorce in this country and annullment takes so long to be processed (u need finance to be able to do this). My question is..... "Is there anything she could do to make this guy pay for everything that she lost? Can she still go there to US even she still havent been there yet?" Any advice you can give will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

  14. Hey guys, hope all is well out there. My fiancee and I met a year and two months ago online. We finally met in person this past May for our 1st Anniversary of dating. We have plenty of emails, chat logs, a few monetary support receipts, and several gift receipts to prove of a relationship. Of course, I have all the documents for my visit as well. The problem is that I really didn't know what to expect when we met, and we really didn't treat our relationship as a court case as I am sure many of you can relate. We simply were going with the flow of our honest intentions toward each other. Now, I have done immense research into the K1 petitioning process, and I am learning of all the nuggets of information that will help. Mostly, thanks for the website! I know I need to start a timeline when submitting my evidence to make the case neat and give a timeframe window to the ones in charge. However, I did not communicate much through my phone other than texts, and I did not send any hard copy letters. Neither did she. After learning how valuble they can be, I began using my phone to make calls to her, and we are both going to begin sending letters. Now, if I showed evidence of our relationship, but they notice that there are no letters or phone calls or not much monetary support for the first year out of two or three years, would this be any kind of problem? Has anyone sent in a petition without snail mail proof or only shown snail mail and phone calls from later in the relationship as opposed to the beginning? Thanks for your time!

In the initial application as what my friends shared with me... they sent proof of evidence together with the form. If the uscis will need more they will send RFE and you have a week or two to send them what they need. Pictures, mails, chat logs etc.... as what they said are secondary (but still needed to be shown on her interview). What they are looking for is a proof that you can take care of your fiancee when she gets to your place. (ITR, payslip etc... )

  15. I simply don't think that this would work, and looking at your timeline, you were a feb filer. One of my relative also got their NOA-2 in april who filed in FEB 2010. SLOW TREND was started from March itself. Some how march has more applications...

But just calling them would not get anything moving....because those are just customer rep. and they don't have authority of anything .... and even immigration officer would only put expediate req. if you really have a valid reason...and proof of it send to USCIS. Because those who are on phone, will not have your file handy ......

well maybe you are right BUT there are over 200, 000 applicants from all over the world and they could just easily tell you that your papers still in process. I am just saying based in our experience. I was thinking IF ONLY we tried so hard to communicate with them regarding our papers we should've received the packet right now. But instead of trying to communicate we waited because we trust them... we waited for the time line. Most of my friends told me that we should call them atleast once or twice a week but we never listen.... Nothing to lose if you will call them to check your papers right? Everything is recorded... and if you will call them and the customer rep answered they will ask you name and case # the will check your papers. Like I said there are over 200, 000 applicants from all over the world and missing papers? HIGH!

  16. U are a horrible person to say that! :P I hope it's not true...

Oh its really true. We waited for the time frame coz they said the time frame is 6-7 months (for k3 tobe completed) We thought it is okay.... after 7-8 months without hearing anything my husband went to ask help from immig atty. Lawyer told him "why come to me just now?" he said we are supposed to receive the NOA 1 after a month or two. so go go better call them
