  1. All went well at the embassy except that I was the last person attended to due to the fact that my original interview date was changed as my it fell on a holiday

I arrived at the embassy @ 6:50am. By 7:30am we started forming 2 queues at the entrance of the embassy. One queue was for non-immigrant and the other for immigrant visas like the K1. BY 8:00am we were all seated inside the embassy @ the consulate section.

As I initially said, they had to attend to those who originally had their appointment today before attending to those of us whom our interview date fell on the holiday and was scheduled for today.

I was finally called @ 11:45 to present all documents and forms requested in my pocket 3 and every other evidence I had. (NOTE: the embassy do not accept the new DS-160 form- Just fill all the forms in packet 3 given by the embassy, again DO NOT print anything from the internet because they wont accept it)

30 mins later I was called to take my finger print (biometric). I was called again in another 15 mins for my interview.

    These were the questions asked:

    *Who filed for you?

    *How did u meet her?

    *Has she married before?

    *Does she have kids?

*What is the age of the oldest and the youngest?

    *What does she do?

"What is her position @ work?

----mind you, the questions were asked based on the evidence I presented. so your questions might be different but they will definitely ask you how u MET-------

After answering all these perfectly, the Consular passed all my docs to me and gave me a colored paper indicating my pick up date and time for the VISA. ***I'll Pick Up my visa on Dec. 10th

All in all, I did not face any problem with my interview. They were nice and were professional. They treated each case differently. My advice is make sure you have MORE THAN ENOUGH EVIDENCE to back everything because thats the ONLY way to prove your case not just answering questions. GET TO KNOW YOUR PARTNER before going because they\'re professionals and very much experience.

    GOOD LUCK ..

  2. For now, there's no need to visit the embassy because even if you go there, u would not be permitted to enter without a written permit. What I will suggest you do is that email the Accra embassy (It takes about 2-4 weeks to get a reply). They will then reply with a permit in your email requesting you to pick up your interview date if you have still not received what they had already sent. With mine, if it had not been the email i sent, I guess I would have still been waiting. They actually replied to confirm that they had mailed my letter 3 weeks earlier and as at now I hv still not received that particular letter and I dont think i'll ever receive it. I wont blame the embassy for this but Ghana Post. As I said earlier, send them an email and if you hv done so, just wait for a reply and your case will be solved. make sure you use the appropriate email address.

    Good Luck.

  3. I hvae been wondering and I seem to not be finding the answer. Is the visa payment before or after the interview? It dont seem right to pay for a visa if you get denied, because i know that they wont give $350 back if your denied. It just doesnt make sense to me. I can see if you are approvaed and then they ask for the money, just not before. Can someone clarify this for me?

all MONIES are paid b4 any visa interview would be conducted...

  4. At least you have a date now! And can start on the next few things

I am waiting for the email. I have emailed them twice and tried calling to no aval. Hopefully soon. So we can at least have a date! AT this point thats all I want! i dont care if its november or december. I just want to know we are in line.....

Oh yes.. indeed a looong wait but at least I hv a day I know my fiance would be interviewed.. Yes they will reply soon thru the mail. I would advice you let ur fiance also email them cos they never replied mine but my fiance's.

  5. OK after waiting for several months, my fiance's interview date was given to him today along with many others. My fiance had to email the Ghana Consulate before he was able to go to the consulate for his pocket 3 & 4. Well, the date is no different from those received from the Ghana consulate recently. The interview date is 16th Nov 2010. YES 16TH NOV. I'll leave u to calculate number of months involved since that will make more sadder.. But in all things We need to Give thanks to God Almighty. At last I have a date to wait for. So that's all for now folks.

  6. Welcome Aboard.....all u need is patience, determination and PRAYERS when dealing with the Accra Consulate.. But U know, With God all Things are possible and I know we all will make it thru. My fiance received an email to pick up his packet 3 & 4 wednesday 26th as our case was approved on 17th March..... I'll keep you guys updated ...!

  7. Hello People, Its unfortunate the Ghana embassy is doing this to us. As at now, we still have not come out with any solution to our problem. What i mean here is that, we still have not found the exact person or the authority to whom we can direct our issues to as the Ghana Accra Consulate keeps ignoring our emotional feelings and keep delaying our interviews dates. People, We need to act NOW. Plz suggest so that we could all point our mails and letters to a single person. It is thru this i think we could be heard.

Now my question is, how does the Accra consulate notify to pick up packet 3 & 4..? Do they send email, or send a letter through the post office or gives a call? Plz those of you who already have your interview dates, I would plz want to know how you were notified? My K1 got approved on 17th of March. NVC at last sent it on 4th April. Well, there's no interview date as I write this post and I know it might hit october or after october if I should get it. This is really heart breaking...! :(

But try to answer my question. Thank you.
