I had an RFE and it did not take them long after, I sent in what I needed before I got an approval. I will say it did not even take two weeks. It took me longer to get the evidence. Good Luck!!!

I am sending off my AOS tomorrow and I am worried. I did not include 2010 taxes. I did not include them because I am waiting on an ITIN number which takes about 6-8 weeks. I thought is I sent the package off before taxes were due that I would be o.k. Can anyone help me with this or should I just wait till my taxes are complete to send all of the things off????

One quick question: Agter I get W7 back from him, do I need to send that in right away or send it all in when my taxes are completed???

I would agree with Ricardo, and also have him provide proof of his residence in Jamaica during that time period - I would also call your senators and Congressman, giving them a heads up to the situation. I would email the embassy -
Not to sound sound dumb but what embassy am I suppose am I suppose to email??? This is all so overwhelming. Thank you two for your help in regards to this matter!!!

He has never been a resident of Canada. The problem is he doesn't know how to find her. What happens if he can't find her??? Is our case just over then???

I received a blue slip saying that they needed more evidence. My husband was married before. I sent in his divorce paper stating when they got divorced and where. The divorce was finalized in Canada where his ex-wife lived. He lives in Jamaica. Now they want proof that one of them was living in Canada between the years 2002 -2004. That would be his ex-wife.
My first question is what type of evidence????
What if we can not contact her???
I am so worried right now and feel helpless and confused.

It is very hard but all I do is work to help keep my mind off of him not being here. I also started some household projects to make room for my husband. We will not get to spend Christmas together but I am blessed that I will be going to Jamaica on the 30th of December to spend a week with my husband. I am grateful about that it has been since July that I have seen him even though we talk every day several times a day it is not enough. I just wish this process would hurry up. So basically I am taking one day at a time!!!

I am married and have been married since April. I did not and have not planned to change my last name. Is this a problem??? I did not change it because of the recent death of my father. I wanted to keep my family name seeing that is all I really have left of my father.
